I was discussing religion, spirituality, and philosophy with a group of people on msn, and I was talking about hell theoretically when this girl in the group butts in and says “aha! So you do believe in hell, therefore you believe in heaven, therefore you believe in god. I rest my case. There is no such thing as a true atheist.” After saying this, she leaves the conversation before I can get a word in.

That girl was pretty stupid. I guess she didn't know you were speaking hypothetically.

Don't even bother talking with people like her. In fact, don't even bother talking to anyone about serious matters, you'll only get dissapointed.

my actual answer, people who leave arguments like that are only trying to put their point across, they do not want an answer becuase they know it could be a good one, therefore, you won the arguement, plus, you cant tell somebody they believe in somehting just becuase they believe in something else, jsut because you believe in hell could mean you believe in an afterlife, not nessecerily a god.

Well I just asked her why she jumped to that conclusion and then left the convo. She told me she didn't want to talk about it, and that if I kept asking her questions about it she'd block me.

So I blocked her.
