I was speaking to someone today and he said that there are a lot of religions that have started up today that are about worshiping the sun and sometimes the moon, because they are priminent in the sky.
Can anyone link me to any webpages/sites about these religions? I'm interested...

The Sun and Moon provide and maintain all life on Earth. Without heat, there is no life anywhere. Without the moon, the Earth's tide cycle would be disrupted.
I can see why someone would "worship" them and the energy they disperse. These two "rocks" are prominent from our basest nature up to the peaks of our intellect as vital figures in our life-cycle.

theres a religion based on many reverences to the sun and mooon...or was it moon and star(yea it was bit i like the 3 dots) in the video game The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind.
oh yes i went there
I can understand why you would respect the sun and moon and even include them as a central part of life in your religion, but worship them? You would be better off reading a single text from Buddha than making some simplistic heliocentric religion on your own.
