Joseph fucked and cummed in Mary's ass, but some of the cum however ran down into her vagina, thats why she regarded herself as a virgin. She was also on crack and imagined the whole angel thing.
In greek days they held their books as the word of god. Then the next religion created new gods and laughed at the greeks. Today we laugh at the sillyness of both yet christians hold their book as the word of god. I garauntee you that in the furture someone will giggle at whats written in the christian bible and a new book will be their word of god. You cant beleive in something like this. If you want to be free drop your useless faith

OH MY GOD! I have been saying this EXACT thing for the past while defending Athiesm... That is crazy. I know exactly what you mean... Now we laugh at people for even believing Greek Mythology, but back then it was really serious to them, right now Christianity is serious to a lot of people, but in a few hundred years or so people will laugh at it.

agnostic leaning to atheisim. IT just can't be proven that the Bible contains accurate historical events.
If someone walked around these days claiming to be son of God, healer, water-wine, walk on water etc noone would believe him/her, they'd think he was a nut. It's just that people could not explain certain things in those days that we know today, and had to think of something to comfort themselves etc.

everyone in thier life needs a sort of higher power, when your a child you dont have a higher power, but rather a role model that you immitate, usually your parents or older kids you interact with. when you get older people inevitably get introduced into a sort of religion, which becomes your higherpower. your higher power can be a person, object, or even a substance.

But I don't really consider myself an atheist in the sense that I am certain that god doesn't exist- I just don't see anything that would cause me to believe in god, and don't care to argue the point since so many religious people are incredibly stupid.

1) Deist.
A problem with conventional beliefs is that by definition "God" is divine, and therefore beyond human understanding. To define "God" in human terms removes "God" from his/her place in the universe to eat the dust of common man.

The disbelief in something without proof isn't small-minded. In fact, it's a good well-footed step in the right direction of thinking.
Faith, though, is the cause of most problems in the world (with greed being the second).
Sadly, far too many people couldn't survive without the fair tales that they believe in.

The reason i beleive that religion is small-minded is because it puts the human race at the centre of everything.
If God did create the universe purely for us then there is a HELL OF A LOT of wasted space and time.
The universe is HUGE; huge far far far beyond our understanding, so is time.
As far as we can tell, the universe has been in existance for at least 15 billion years, the Earth has been around for only 4.3 billion years of that and humanity for only around 100,000 years of that; thats around 14.9 billion years of the universe without a human race, and the universe will most likely be around for billions of years after we are gone.
If you scale things down and represent the entire timeline of earths existance as the distance between the east and west coasts of the united states then the human race's existance is only the length of a dinner table (about 2 yards). Now imagine if the distance between the east and west coasts was representative of the timeline of the universe, suddenly, we're infintesimally small and that is only measuring in time, now imagine if we added space into that equation too and things get a WHOLE LOT smaller....
Now, I don't know about anyone else, but i think if God does exist and the bible is true and we are the centre of everything, then there is A LOT of wasted space and time

I believe in me. I'm all I need.
So many fucking agnostics.
Agnostics are just those who still believe there *might* be a God, and are therefore too afraid to deny his existence because there could be consequences.
Get some balls and become atheists.

there is nothing in the bible to say so, the bible put us at the centre of everything, so saying that he might talk to aliens is pure speculation

I beg to differ. I'm a Buddhist Atheist. Contrary to popular belief, most Buddhist believe in no god. It's more of a way of life. Just because someone is atheist doesn't mean they can't be religious. As a matter of fact, atheism IS a religion.
re-li-gion, noun: 1. A personal or institutionalized system grounded in such belief and worship.
2. The life or condition of a person in a religious order.
3. A set of beliefs, values, and practices based on the teachings of a spiritual leader.
4. A cause, principle, or activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion.
THERE DOESN'T HAVE TO BE A "GOD".

Secular Humanist, and a Bright.
Most atheists would probably agree with it's reasoning and day-to-day life applications.

Atheists are pretentious idiots who say they don't believe in God, but on Judgement Day will be praying with the rest of us.
Edit: Now that I think about it, I really don't fit into a category, I entertain so many different ideas. I'm an Alltheist.

I'm an atheist but I believe God exists. To clarify, I see that he has an effect on people even though there's no reason to say he's really there.
quote:Oh, and I'm an agnostic. I believe that without proof, I cannot disprove "God", nor can I prove him. I naturally side with the "innocent before guilty" approach, though, to the matter.
Surely God is innocent of existing before you can prove he does.. I mean, if I say that a 30000-foot long shoe exists, you're not going to believe me because, since you have no evidence for it, for all intents and purposes it doesn't exist... the shoe has no effect on you therefore it's more sane to say it isn't there at all.
The difference with God, and the important point about my latest stance, is that He does have an effect on us. However, I still don't believe he's there because I can more convincingly explain these effects as similar in origin to other otherwise unrelated things I've experianced.

There is no God, there is no Devil.
These are just concepts made up in your head, just like Good/Evil Right/Wrong.
When you realise you are nothing but pure consciousness then it all starts to make sense.
For those who of you who say your atheists out there, what do you classify the soul as, and is therea belief in it?
Because there is no God and only pure awareness, do you see this consciousness as sort of the force of God?
When people pray to their God, they are doing nothing more than Remote Influencing their reality. You remote influence your reality everyday, you are just not aware of it. Got to love those coincidences you get that surprise you.

Way to go for Sweeping Generalizations!
Einstein was a real dumbass!
In the highly unlikely event of a "Judgement Day", I won't be praying. If there is a God, he has done jack shit for me and my friends, and deserves no worship from us.

Makes me think of the discussion about what buddhists should be considered. Are they atheists or agnostics? Or are they gnostics for that matter?

Mere assertion won't get you anywhere especially when you didn't actually show why atheism fits into any of the definitions listed above. I could seriously argue against the contention that atheism fits into those definitions because.
1.Atheism is not an intitution
2.Atheists do not worship
3.Atheists do not base their values and beliefs around a spiritual leader.
4.Atheism has no central cause
