I'm sure there are plenty of people that would be offended , but let us assume for a moment that it is entirely possible for Jesus (or whatever saviour ,incarnation ,deity you want)to come down .... Now imagine him popping down in the middle of a heavily christian settlement... WOuld they believe a word? No ,they'd all be the first to scream blasphemer and strap him to a cross (Perhaps a little over the top ... but I've earned , I'm dangerously sober)...

I dodubt even if God sent his son down ... again that people would pay him any attention. He'd walk on water and people would clap and cheer ,but pay little attention .He'd make wine and be praised as the saviour of the party ,He'd allow the blind man to see... And get punched in the groin for stealing the poor guys living.

Jesus doesn't stand a freaking chance ,This was forseen ,and hence the bible tends to become a little bloody towards the end as Jesus gets pissed and everyone in heaven has a nice facist time of it....
