When do you think we will leave religion behind us and realise there is no god, that is it was only a desperate attempt to cope with the complexities of the universe without the proper undertanding or science to explain them ? When we can live by rules made for the sake of keeping order and not to please some imaginary higher power. I think we are almost ready to deal with life and what it entails and drop these crutches. Any opinions?

It is comming. All that is needed is the subtle push of the intelligent ones. Many people need to begin spreading the truth and showing the benifits of having no religion.

You're talking about freeing us from the cage of religion directly into the cage of science.
I'm sick and tired of seeing you scientists and you theosophists at each other's throats all the fucking time. You both need to learn that you will get nowhere alone. It's about balancing the two; it's always been about balance. But no, you types are too caught up in your fuckwit petty bickering to understand that. It's got to be, "I'm right!" You've got to be able to stand over your enemy and laugh. Well, I, for one, am sick of it. It's so fucking stupid.

why must there be a balance between ignorance and knowledge? Science isnt a cage, its a key.

Using escapism into the physical is just as bad as escapism into the immaterial. Let me make this clear: I am an atheist, I believe in the big bang/crunch, evolution and all of that jazz. But that doesn't mean I discount the positive effects faith can have. It doesn't do anything good for me (or, at least, not at this part of my life). However, I know people of faith who are legitimately strengthened by it. Who am I to say that I am the light and the way? Then I'd be exactly what I hate about religion. They are made happy and into better people by it; they have every right to have that faith and it is correct for them. It just disturbs me greatly when the two camps of "the search for truth" are more busy tearing each other's throats out and trying to prove the other wrong than trying to find the truth. It's like partisan politics; liberals and conservatives don't want what's good for the country, they just want to be in control and to spite the other party. And all of it is motherfucking childish.

This is why Gorloche is the balls. Who are you take away our right for the pursuit of happiness? And who am I to take away yours?

people just need to enjoy life productivley without harming others. if someone enjoys practising religion (i dunno why) then let them do it. its just when they try to make everyone else practise their religion is when we molotov the stupid prick. cant people just realize that as long as your happy and its not at the expense of others, that that is all your really need?
