This just occured to me. All you athiests (of which I am one), imagine the situation. One day, God appears in front of you. You arn't drunk, on drugs, just normal. He utterly proves his existance to you, and says that unless you change your sinful ways to follow him, you'll burn in hell for all eternity.

Do you convert to Christianity? Would you give up all your earthly vices in order to avoid damnation?

Personally, I like to think that I wouldn't, most because my ethics don't gell with Christian values. I support free abortions, assisted suicide, casual drug use, casual sex, whatever. Dropping all those would make me feel like too much of a hypocrite, just abandoning them on the spot like that. To be honest though, I'd probably go for a deathbed conversion...see if that would work to avoid getting my ass toasted...

Why are you limiting yourself to Christianity? There is a whole world of religions out there, Christianity being one of the less sensible choices. I was trying to show you what God really is in my post so that people quit imagining same being to appear before them.

"No, that's not God" they say "God is not Reality it is just an idea people created to feel good" Really? Reality was created by human thought? If you stripped the entire universe and all that is within it, there would be nothing, nothing but Reality, which is what we exist within, it is in the image of nothing if you strip it of all that it is within, but it is not nothing, it is the Manifestor of Worlds.

Nothing can only do nothing, if there was ever pure nothing, so too would there now be absolute nothing. Nothing has no capacity to hold anything, have anything manifest, or basically do anything.

Is Reality Dead? Inanimate? Senseless? Can you not see how what is within it is in constant animation every moment, that if it was dead it would not exist and so too would nothing exist? It has no sense? Are you senseless? You're the proof against yourselves, it is the posessor of "Sense".

Every thought you can possibly think is possible because of it held within it, manifested by it, you utilize it and are dependant on it every moment of your life. But someone told you a man who was a baby is God? So you fight it, and rightly so, but then you're so stuck on the idea that you blind yourself to the Reality, to the Real God, the Original, and the Originator.

Its so easy and so obvious and so clear. There is no God but the God I am telling you about, and there is nothing greater than it, it is what you should submit to, the submission will bring inner peace.

Its easy to say there is no God when you've invented some idol to break. When you say it to me its like you're speaking something completely absurd, like saying "We exist in Nothing, and Nothing only Exists" A Lie. Prove it? You are the proof, I am the proof, Everything is the Proof.

There was no Being molding things like a man, nor is God in your image, but you are images within God.

Science and Religious Truth has NO CONFLICT save those who lie and make conflict. To deny what is Real to Defend a False Idol, Christianity has really made an error, and so to have the other religions eventually when at their core their message should be essentially be the same.

From the most ancient hunter gatherer religions and polytheistic religions the idea is one idea which becomes mutated by people. "There is Reality, It has Many Aspects, It is where we come from, All things are dependant on it but it is self sufficient" Then from the One True God does it slowly evolve, each aspect is named, then metaphorically described to help people understand in a humanistic way and soon a whole pantheon of Gods develop from the One, Hinduism still has this history of how its religion evolved and that its root is monotheistic and its God is Reality.

People did not Develop the original idea of God, it was an understanding of what is Real and True which later in explanation transformed into something very misleading and false.

God makes the rain fall, no the weather does, All in the same.

God makes the universe expand, no thats just an effect due to certain aspects of the universe, All in the same.

Exchange the word God for Reality as it should be, it is one word.

But how can God be Omnipotent?

And of Knowledge, All things are Made. Information, Mathematics, What Knows everything other than what Everything is within and made of?

Fuck it, we KNOW reality is there. We know what the fucking trees and bushes and pretty fucking insects look like. We know sunsets, we know naked chicks and we know that they look good. Sometimes. What we do not know, or will ever know, is how the fuck are we supposed to WORSHIP REALITY? Saying that God equals the trees and the plants and the animals and the beautiful earth and bla bla bla, does not make us want or need to worship it or love it or whatever the fuck you believe we're supposed to do to the God the Rock and God the pretty fucking cloud. Claiming that a perfect being is reality is like claiming the floor is reality. You're simply making the claim that A = B, without providing any evidence, hence making it a baseless claim. Your argument is now null and void.

If God appeared infront of me I have to restrain myself from kiking him in the shins. Once I was past the fury I would probably see the light and convert back to christianity, I was catholic once so it wouldn't be that hard a transition.

I would feel VERY bitter about God taking away my freedom of choice by showing me he is real for a while, but I'm sure I'd get over it.

What I say, isn't supposed to be deep, its supposed to make people realize whats on the surface. They keep trying to dig for things that aren't there. It's supposed to make you humble, that you're just part of it all, just like a pigeon or a rock, furthermore, how you worship it, is through meditation, submission, letting yourself go sometimes, letting it all come over you, the realization of it all. It brings peace, or it should. People keep saying it is irrelevant when I find it is the only relevant thing, much more relevant than imaginary beings flying in the sky and bragging about blowing them up.

The floor IS part of Reality...I'm stating that there is NO God, but the God I'm claiming, which is not the floor, or a pigeon, or a man in the sky, but what all those things exist within, essentially one, and to worship it through submission, meditation, finding peace in that, letting it all come over you, rather than chasing after illusionary inventions and things much less than the most powerful force in your life.
