Why do people automatically assume you need a religion to believe in God?

You don’t need a religion. You can believe in a God and an afterlife without belonging to a religion. Most religions have barbaric, arbitrary morals which are frankly disgusting in the light of modern society. There are no moral absolutes, but we can certainly make better morals than those found in religious texts. Do what YOU think is best and think for yourself without following stupid rules.

My dear friend,

There is a free gift offered here. Jesus Christ, true God and man, has died for you to wash away your sins. All that must be done is to simply open your heart and pray that you might recieve this spirit. The single command is to love as God has loved you. This meaning that you should love everone with an undieing passion, like a brother sister mother or father. Now of course you will mess up and stumble. But that is the beauty of grace. Everytime you sin ... it is forgiven before you even commited it. Of course you should repent of this that you may recieve that gift. So ... if you desire freedom and peace, then all you have to do is ask. I am by no means saying the journey will be easy, but that does not change the fact that you will be set free from the bondage of sin and death.

Would a truly worthy God be such as to be in the image of man, begetting a son? Nay! Your God is far superior to these inventions!

Where is God? You see God everyday, interact every moment waking and sleeping! God is what encompasses everything inside and out!

There is no God greater than my God, soon it will be our God if you are to accept.

No Man or a Woman or Demi God can save you, but you can save yourself, but humbly submitting to the One Sovereign God, Creator, Originator, far beyond having a son!

My God has a book in which are amazing scientific facts that were only recently discovered as proof of my God's sovereignity and knowledge!

It is a Blasphemy to follow a God which has Sons! The True God is not a Man but the Creator of men and beasts and plants and thoughts and the sky and the earth and the stars and the moons and the universe and what is beyond!

God is what everything is made of, existing within and by, and everything is completely dependant on it, will you not see? Will you not bow down and submit to it? Or will you be a rebel, blind, that is the ultimate failure, do not turn away!

There is only One God!

Religion is not needed to follow God. Leave religion and just be a good person.

Why do you think you need God to be a good person?

That is the very point. God humbled himself by becoming one of His own creations. He loved us enough to come down to us. Of course He is interacting with us daily. You see people pull through diseases that were told that they would surely die. You see single mothers raising successful children. You see nature itself as a witness of His creation. You see love.

Abrahim ... God is everything? Then what is he really? It means there is no longer any character in God. You are saying God IS his creation are you not? Then you turn around and say that no God would become an image of his own creation? A little contradictory, if you did not mean this then please explain.

Could you cite a resent well documented time such divine healing that has taken place and the ratio of diving healing occurrences to how many times it has not when asked for? And do you believe that a single mother can not properly raise a child with out your christian god?

I did not mean this, now I will explain:

God is what everything is within, existing by, made of. God is not there or here or up or down but everywhere, encompassing everything. Is the stone God? No: Because it is just a stone, it is made of God, existing by God, but it is not the whole, nor is the universe the whole, nor is the reality this universe is in, but God is what encompasses absolutely everything, all universes and realities and possibilities, the ultimate power.

Why I find it wrong to say that Jesus is God is that he is no more God, in my opinion, than a single atom, a tree or a bird, but none of them are God, as none of them encompass the whole.

I'm not saying everything is God as much as everything is within God, made of God, existing by God, under the jurisdiction of God.

Gods "Character" is only a reflection of yourself. You can just as easily ignore God, and so to, not reap any of the benefits from the process. Or you can turn towards God, submit yourself to its ultimate power, accept it, and then utilize it to your advantage.

You can imagine God like "The Force" in Star Wars if you want to, the power that makes all things exist and what is everywhere.

It is still a personal God, if you submit to it, and pray to it, and find peace with it, you will find a sense of reassurance.

It is not a man and it is not a being in the sky or in the heavens sitting there playing chess on a throne, I'm trying to help you understand that God is not that.

Its the same God its just without the metaphorical attachments which create illusionary idols. This is the same God to whom you ask and shall recieve if you believe. Yes its the power of your mind at work, and what is it that has provided all the possible things you can possibly think or do?

Jesus is a man, who is no longer living, but I believe he submitted to the same God as me, and worshipped God, and recieved knowledge and inspiration from God and was a wonderful messenger and an excellent upright human being, but never would dare to make a claim that he is anything to be partnered with God. Jesus was a humble man, and just that, a man. So do as Jesus did, and pray to God, submit to God, worship God, eat, drink, go to the bathroom, wash your bum, say some more prayers, and be an excellent upright human being like Jesus, a servant of God.
