I don't agree with any sect also I don't agree that any man can answer questions to things unknown through side books. From my reading of the Qur'an and re reading throughout the years I have found it to be pretty clear and precise in what it is saying, in Arabic to.

There should be no Sunni, no Shia, no Sufi, only One, Islam, following the simple directions in the Qur'an which are precise and clear, to the point and very easy to follow.

No man or woman has the authority to say (outside of the Qur'an) what is Halal or Haram, but to use the Qur'an as a guide, and also to use common sense.

The Qur'an says not to take Intoxicants.

The Qur'an says to consume only what is Good (for you) and Wholesome.

Your body is a gift and should be appreciated, taken care of, and respected. The Qur'an often tells one to be thankful for their various body parts.

Based on this a person can decide that Smoking is harmful to the body, it disrespects the body by harming it, it is harmful, and though it might not make a person drunk exactly it is full of bad chemicals. More harm than benefit is the Qur'an's explanation for the reason not to do things that are bad for people, so don't smoke!

That is an example of how the knowledge of the Qur'an can be applied to answer daily question which are not specifically answered in the Qur'an. The Qur'an makes clear what it needs to make clear and it still stands as an effective guide to this day.

Nobody has the right to say "This is halal or this is haram" the Qur'an even makes mention of people who do that without authority and warns them not to.

What is Halal and Haram is mentioned in the Qur'an, furthermore the Qur'an gives many clues and concepts which can be applied to things that are not mentioned: In the end the final judgement is with God.

The Qur'an says how to do the ritual cleansing before prayers, the times to pray, and even HOW to pray as in praising, bowing, and prostrating yourself, it does not give specific numbers because those numbers are made up by people: You can pray as much as you want and can handle, whatever satisfies, and when in congregation pray as the others pray.

So yes, the Qur'an is a complete Guide. The Qur'an is not hard to understand. The Qur'an doesn't want you to follow people, but to follow it, and get your information from it instead of people. It isn't hard at all being a muslim, and the instructions are very simple, easy to follow.

The orginal post should have been asked in one of Abrahim's numerous threads. Directing threads at specific members is generally frowned upon. I am surprised it hasn't been closed already.

I'm a proud American and support Israel 100%. I want Israel to turn into an Imperialistic Jewish Extremist state that commits genocide on muslims, the Arab race and the Persian race. I hate Islam and all sand niggers that follow it. Hail Bush! Praise Jesus and pass the ammunition.

We are the Human Race, otherwise there is no such thing as race within the Human Race. You can check about that online!

Following the Qur'an is being a Muslim, whatever else is a diversion.

Is not one who follows the Qur'an a Muslim? The Qur'an is not sufficient for you?

We are no longer in the middle ages, any devout Muslim can read his own religious text and make his own informed decisions. Anyone can study the Qur'an and make a common sense decision.

That's correct, in fact, the Hadiths came into popularity gradually over time, in the early days of the religion it was primarilly the Qur'an that people hoped to follow, soon traditions and stories were collected and developed for various reason and written into books that were slowly accepted by the population over time.

Islamic Society was full of discovery, science, and wealth until the Mongol invasion. The Invasion was seen as a sign by some that they are developed too fast and may have transgressed the bounds and were thus punished by the Mongol invasion, so they began to stop Scientific discovery and move the clock backwards and stopped advancing. Hadiths became extremely popular during this era as people hoped to go back to the "old ways" which were actually invented over 200 years afterwards, by people who had no real idea about the actual "old ways".

I believe in the Qur'an and that it is a clear and sufficient guide which can be applied to even modern day situations.

It is a simple message and a simple book with simple instructions on what to incorporate in one's own life for their own spiritual well-being.
