Why do they come to my door to tell me to join their religion? What in their bible tells them to do this? Why do they believe they should tell people they are wrong about the religion they already have?

I think it's more of a "tell anyone you can about us," they just go door to door because it's easy. I've had some talk to me on the street before.

its just really anoying when you tell them that you dont want to change your faith / beliefs and to piss off, so they send their friends over a few hours later

Jehovah witnesses have said the world is going to end some at some 5 to 3 different years. I think they have giving up on dates and now just say soon.

Plus they have gotten several kids killed by denying them blood transfusions. Its against there beliefs.

I heard they don't celebrate their own birthdays.

I never had the balls to but, always wanted to invite them in and fuck with them. Till they left on their own free will.

I had a mexican friend that was a Jehova's Witness. Never tried to convert me, he was all right. I dunno, I think he was just going along with his parents.

They don't believe in celebrating any holidays because the Bible doesn't say to. My response to that is the Bible doesn't say to do a lot of things but it's still accepted to do them anyway.

And there's some weird belief they have about only a certain number of people going to heaven. 144,000 people according to wikipedia. I don't get that.

i tell them to get the fuck of my property and never come back, then my idiotic brother started talking to them because he's studieing philosphy/religion/politis and all that, and he wanted to argue with them why religion is pointless and there religion is a scam, and now they keep coming back every couple weeks to talk to him and he has to hide in his room and somehow tell everybody in my house not to let them know he's there

they dont give up either, they still come even know he hasnt talked to them for a couple months

It is my understanding that they think that the world will imminently end and Jesus will come and only take a certain number of people to heaven. And to be in this group you must do several things, one of which is to convert more people to this faith. So really countless jehovah's witnesses have wasted their lives waiting for this judgement day trying to get into this select number of people. I find it very offensive when they try to push their religion on you. And you know what they've been doing lately, especially in my area? They get little kids to hand out the leaflets so you can't like refuse or slam the door in they're face. It really bugs me. They don't celebrate their own birthdays, either. And, I must admit, I am a Harry Potter afficionado, and there was one incident at my school that really offended and enraged me. One of those bastards heard me talking about the upcoming (at the time) sixth book and he said right to my face "Harry Potter is sinful and you'll go to hell." Not only is that rude, but stupid. I am an atheist, but how could anyone believe in a god that is so unloving and narrow-minded as to send someone to hell for reading a book?! They get on my nerves.
