The power and the greatness of the Ori can not be denied, those who regect the path to anlignment must be destroyed.
We do not require blind faith, only that you believe what you seek and know to be true

The ORI have nothing to do with christianity, they are the leaders to the path of anligtnment layed out in the book of Origin,

Why the complete and total destruction of the unbeliever of course!
That and the burning of heretics.

They are pretty much renegade ancient's that get there power from there believes. So they preach a false message of salvation and destroy things.
Their priers are not nice people.

Believing in Odin/Osiris/Zeus won't blow up your head... because it is mythology.
Believing in the Bible/Zohar/Talmud/Koran/etc. won't blow up your head... because it is mythology.

ok The ORI are part of stargate SG1 (a sci-fi tv show) you learn about them in the 9th and now the 10th season
this show could teach everybody something about religion
if you havent seen it you would probly like it, those are all quotes, chekc out Yeoutub, when i hear the ori and the priors speak those quotes it gives me chills

I ask again: What is with all the Stargate references around here lately? I mean, it's cool but it really just came out of nowhere.
Anyway, yeah. The Ori are obviously Space Christians. The way they act, the design of their technology and spacecraft, the "Book of Origin" is all very Christian-like. It's eerie as fuck, because in reality, there's no elite team of soldiers to save us from Christians. http://www.totse.com/bbs/frown.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/frown.gif)
They are basically showing how fanatically some people can be in their beliefs. On SG1 these beings called the ORI are not gods. Only a more advanced form of humans that have evolved into an energay like state.
They offer enlightenment to their followers if the they follow the path set forth by them. Only the ORI are full of BS. They feed off of their followers energies. The more followers the more energy they can consume.
They start out by sending a representative to a planet. If the inhabitants of said planet refuse to follow the ORI. They are destroyed either by a virus like sickness or by massive ships built by the ORI's followers. You either believe or die, there's no middle ground with this lot.
The ORI end up sending them to our galaxy to mentally enslave everyone here. It pretty much mirrors the crusades and the inqusitions.

The Ori may as well be gods, the only thing holding them in check are other, equally powerful godlike creatures.
