Why is there always a single diety up there? And why do dieties only have to be human? Is it due to man's own love for himself, like a narcissis plant? Or is it something deeper, like the need to know that man is supreme?

What the fuck!?

Many religions are polytheistic and by definition a god cannot be human.

They usually present the gods in the form of a man just to give it shape. sometimes they use animals too, but its just to give them form. at least thats my opinion

It's not like some dude rolled a dice to see how many gods there would be.

It isn't always one diety and it isn't always a human. You might be thinking of the Judeo Christian God in Man's Image or the Greco Roman Gods who were in the image of humans.

Many of the God's of Egypt and India are not exactly human. Some of the God's of other civilizations and communities were animals.

The God of Islam is not a man or a woman or a thing created, but just God, the infinite, all encompassing, all powerful.

The same God was the original concept of God in Hinduism: The Brahman.

That's true but Scientologists don't worship any aliens or DC-8s. The DC's are what transported the Thetans to the Volcanoes to be destroyed. The aliens are the Thetans, Xenu, The Marcabians, and many more intergalactic beings. The Marcabians are the ultimate enemy force (angels) that will come to Earth in a massive invasion and attempt to take over (Judgement day) to turn all human kind into their slaves (Servants of God). Scientologists hope to defeat The Marcabian invasion force and save mankind from being enslaved. The Battle will occur using space planes, this is why many top scientologists learn how to fly and name their kids things like "Jet".

You have it the other way around. Christians believe that we were created in God's image. So to them it has nothing to do with what we look like, and everything to do with what He looks like.

I knew that scientology was a few (many) fries short of a happy meal but I have never read this. Could you provide a source?

You can probably find something about the Marcabian Invasion Force on www.xenu.com (http://www.xenu.com) but mention of it is found at:

http://www.holysmoke.org/be/be152.htm

http://portland.indymedia.org/en/2005/09/325895.shtml this link is an adventure by a scientologist to find Xenu's prison.

I actually have a theory here. If you look around in daily life, you'll notice that there are myriad forces at work around you. All of these forces work together and against each other, predator against prey, rain against sun, good against evil. I personally believe that if any deity governs our daily life, there must be an infinite number of separate godly elements that each represent a part of our universe. This seems to resolve many problems that I see with monotheism, such as evil in the world. Unless God was a delusional psychopath with multiple personalities, the conflicting forces of our world simply make no sense. These deities could "battle it out" from day to day, and the victory of one or the other would determine what happens on any given day. I've written a huge paper on all of this and it seems a bit confusing because I've just given you a brief synopsis. But anyway, just think about the vastness of our universe; it might perhaps be infinite. Why would someone assume that because it is so vast, it must originate from one being? That makes no sense! To me, it seems that everything in our universe is in a constant state of conflict and the deities that govern such a system must be also conflicting. I'm assuming that many polytheistic religions propose the same idea. What do you think?

Many polytheistic religions do propose the same idea but the most popular and still existing polytheistic religion, hinduism, still accepts that all those dieties are simply aspects and representations of the One Ultimate, All Encompassing Reality, The Brahman.

I believe that essentially everything is one, made of one thing, existing by one thing, dependant on one thing. I believe there are possibility an infinite amount of universes within alternate realities, and realities which have things in them other than universes, things we can't even comprehend, and that all these possibilities, every single thing, is still within the One Ultimate Thing which is what binds everything. Infinite, All Encompassing, One. Within it are an infinite number of things, images, representations, manifestations, but put them all together and they are all part of one thing. You can not number it because the number is Infinite, 1.
