I notice that the us, and Indonesian and possibly Turkey and Peru throw a wrench into the whole High religion= Low IQ but other wise it seems to be in action in everywhere else surveyed.

And Italy has 27% importance for religion? with the whole Vatican City and the Pope in side there borders (sovereign but still inside).

Correlation between stupidity and higher importance placed in religion is enough to snicker about. No one said stupidity caused high importance placed in religion, it is just that they appear to go hand in hand. http://www.totse.com/bbs/biggrin.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/biggrin.gif)

Quite possibly so, but I am merely saying neither cause the other.

Besides, the countries in which you listed having higher importance of God also have a lower standard of living and also tend to have a higher happiness scale.

Ignorance truely is bliss.

There was no Australia I noticed. Damn, I actually wanted to know how the rest of the population felt.

Its doesn't really look like a link between IQ and religious importance, but more level of education and/or wealth vs religious importance. All the countries that showed low IQS have largely poor populations.
