I was raised as a christian, church every sunday, my parents would never curse or do sinful things infront of me, or even when I wasn't around. I attended church regularly till about the age of 14, which instead of going sunday mornings I would go to the youth group on wednesdays. But after awhile there seemed no point in attending church, because it was boring anyways, and I would never feel that power or feeling that everyone would get when they worshipped. No matter how hard I tried, I could never get that feeling. I would lay in my bed and pray, and try getting closer with god so maybe I could enjoy worship at church.
So eventually I stopped praying or thinking about god on a daily basis, eventhough I still believe the word of the bible and the christian religion, I'm thinking about doing a spiritual ritual with salvia, so maybe I can learn more about myself and maybe make contact with a higher being in the spirutual realm.
Only use salvia if you have experience with that sort of thing. If not, it'll just scare the shit out of you, and you wont know whats going on or be able to learn from it.
Start learning about other religions and see what you like. You might decide you dont like anything....or maybe you'll find connections between others that spark your interest in finding out what truth really is.
Not like any religion is the RIGHT religion.
But if you want to use salvia or another substance for aid, prepare for it. learn how to use something as a sacrament. I would suggest taking a glance at my Meditaions thread, if thats a path you choose to explore.

I recommend some magic mushrooms. I took just a few once and it almost felt like I was looking right at the essence of life itself. It felt like I was seeing a personality weaving its way through whatever I looked at. I also felt a relationship with it. I felt the infinity of all dimensions, which kinda felt like something I used to feel as a baby.
Also once after some alcohol and weed (Yet I was neither overly drunk or stoned), I felt ultra pieceful. It was after a super perfect day where everything seemed to go my way. I left my friends and stood behind a garage just to enjoy being alone. I remember looking at the branch of a bush and as far as i was concerned I was seeing god. I started crying and apologising to the god that I saw in the branch for knowing how to be happy but not enacting upon it. It was pretty awesome.
God or not, the kind of beauty I felt on these occasions would never have been felt had I not been someone who acknowledges godliness.
Note: The closest feeling I had without any intoxicants was when I was living with hare krishnas and chanting 2 hours every morning. One morning whilst chanting things started to seem different. It was as though I was looking at everything for the very first time. Nothing had a label, nothing had meaning, but everything was fascinating.

Salvia is a herb that, when made into extracts, will induce extreamly powerfull experiences. Like visiting other worlds, visiting other realities where things dont even make sence. Experiencing sensations you cannot describe because the sences used dont exist in this reality. DMT-ish proportions of amazment. Not in anyway recreational, and will scare this shit out of anyone who dosnt fully grasp the power of it. Not intended for the average joe pot-smoker.
Luckily it usually only lasts 5 or 10 minutes. And luckily when people break through they just sit there not moving. Some people mumble, some laugh creeply, some get very scared. However, you have to smoke entire bowl packs in single hits, and hold them for about 30 seconds to break through. Otherwise you'll just feel kinda retarded and stupid for awhile. Some people prefer to smoke 2 smaller hits and hold for 15 seconds each without breathing between them.
This is legal most everywhere cept australia and a few states i belive. The states are begining to make it illegal because some emo kid decided to take some before killing himself, and his parents decided to blame the drug.
It is not addicting at all. Maybe even counter-addictive. Some 80% of people who use it wont ever again.

I dont know if this could fit in this forum but it kind of has to do with spirtual things. I have used salvia before but not for the purpose I used it today. I bought a half of graham of salvia, and packed a little bit of weed at the bottom ( sorry to talk about that in this forum )and put the salvia on top, I smoked it and at first started to choke but felt my mind basicly going off to another realm of some sort.
I told my friends to leave me alone cause I want to experiance this and the time they left me there I experianced heavy wisuals of undescribable entities. I would hear voices in my head and I could tell I was in a different mental realm, I then proceeded to ask the voices in my head if they could tell me about a god or higher being. The voices stoped talking and then what seemed slowly pushed me back into my realm, but leaving me with medium visuals and a full blown body buss for the next 30 minutes. I dont know if this means anything at all but I found it interesting.

Well you'll want a spiritual/enlightening religion. Shit, you don't even NEED a religion. You just need to recognise that there is a God. If you want some form of religion, try Buddhism (sp?). Kabbalah and Sufism are EXTREMELY advanced, I tried reading a book on REAL Kabbalah (not that shit they're using in Hollywood) and I didn't understand a word of it. You need to have a high level of understanding and spirituality to merely grasp the concept of these highly spiritual levels.
If you want to learn about the Qur'an and Islam and my Religion contact me on MSN Messenger at abrahimesker@hotmail.com or AIM at abrahimesker for a tutorial.
I don't reccomend you take any drugs in order to manifest a religious experience, I find its bad for the karma and the aura lol if you're into that jazz. But anyway besides that I don't agree with taking chemical mind altering substances to experience things which can be experienced with meditation and good old fashioned genuine thinking.

Well right now I think I might just hold off on a religion. I'm only 16 and have alot of time left to find myself, and find the right religion for me.

Well my friend that is the problem with many churches today. They make you think that you should rely on your feelings, when really most of those people in there are faking it or making themselves feel something. Faith is a trust and it isnt always backed by feeling. I can not say that I have never had doubts, but no matter what I could fall back on God and just KNOW that He was and is there. You see, it really is not a matter of feeling. If you can not see, it does not mean the world is black. If you jump off a building you will fall. Just as gravity and other properties are known so is God known. This God being the triune God. And always remember that it is not you that is relied on for faith. Your faith is a gift through the death and ressurection of Christ you have been given the Spirit and grace. Therefore all you must do is lean back and let God, the father son and holy spirit, catch you. For He is a reality, whether people want Him to be or not.

...Consider what you're saying. Why would you persist in BLASPHEMY and not Claim that God is One, not a Father, Not a Son, not a Ghost, But GOD the All Encompassing All Mighty.

God is such a large target, that you cannot fail to find him/her/it/them/whatever.
God is not "out there"--god is everywhere and in every thing. This is what Jesus meant when he said "The kingdom is God is within you." This is what Robert Heinlein meant when he wrote "I am God. Thou art God. All that groks is God."
You want to use drugs and get loaded, that is your business. But do not use God as an excuse to get loaded.

Yeah, guys, use the classic excuse: “I have emotional problems and ah use drugs to mask them, know? Cause like, when I was a child me daddy beat me and heroin made me not care, know?”

Good for you!
"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it." Buddha

If you are aware of what I promote on Totse as my religious ideas about God, do you have any conflict with my ideas as they seem to be compatible with yours.
