I find Satanism to be quite interesting to a certain extent... Not being the worshiping of "Lucifer" as so normally percieved. It's just you seeing yourself as your own god with total control over everything... Therefore you're challenging God's moral. I'm not a thorough believer but it's an interesting belief.

I thought Satanism was more about pleasing yourself rather than worshipping yourself as a god.
I've seen it referred to as "enlightened hedonism", and i think that's a decent description.

Yeah it's kind of opposite of buddhism, instead of destroying your ego your feeding it.
Is there any real deistic Satanism left?

considering that there is no such thing as "Satan" it being only a metaphor for evil it can be perceived by different ppl as meaning different things. Therefore each person has his own "satan" so if you worship satan you then are worshiping yourself.

I believe it is healthiest to strike a balance between ego feeding and humility.

You could say the same thing about a benevolent god.

Yeah that's what people say when they are controlled by their ego.

Satanism. It's fun to piss of extremist-Catholics with this religion.

I've always thought it was hilarious that they call it "satanism". For Satan to exist, it presupposes the correctness of the Bible and/or the Koran. And in all those books, Satan has a bit role, and is never actually a danger unless God allows him to be.
