Define soul. Personality and traits, which are unique to all humans, that are a direct product the billions upon billion of chemical reactions that take place in the brain?

I believe a "soul" of anything is a life or life energy, I might even go further to say anything that exists has a soul, that being its existance...But usually I believe all living things have a life force, life energy, and so I call that a soul.

Christians say animals do not have souls.

I say plants and animals do have a soul by my definition because they are living things and a soul is life energy.

I don't believe in Ghosts or spirits really. I believe a soul is genderless like the electricity that powers a living thing.
