I've been an athiest for the past....around 6 years. Lately I've been doing more research into different aspects on how we were created. I look at most religions as a set of standards and morals to be followed but out of all of these religions one has to suit me better then others. Being an athiest has not fit my personafication on why I am here. I do not believe we evolved, but I also do not believe in One higher being that created all. I also don't know if having a cetain religion will make me feel more complete and thats why I've been doing more studying on this matter.

I am asking you to help me find a religion that would suit me. If any one wants to tell me about their religion please do so and help me find one for myself.

I cannot do that.

I would say pick and choose from different religions.. do not limit yourself to the belief systems of just one.

Would you remain an atheist if you were convinced that evolution was true?

Stop being a sissy. You're like a child that wants Santa to be real, even after his parents tell him he isn't. You have won the genetic lottery. You're parents fucked and through chemical and biological reactions, your sentience developed into what it is today. You only have 1 life. Your purpose for your life is what you make it. Stop looking for some superstitious, feel-good nonsense to make yourself feel better. Your purpose is the same as everyone else's on this planet. Live as long as you can (or want to), then die. As biological entities, it is a fate we all share. My advice is to not waste the time and opportunities you've got gallivanting about on a goosechase for a higher purpose. Like I said, it'll just be wasting time.

By the way, I was a devout Christian from early childhood up to the age of twenty. At which point, I grew a pair and faced reality head on. And I think it was the best religious and philosophical decision I've made.

Become a satenist, you dont have to worry about this sort of stuff anymore, and you get to wear robes!

Mind you, you have to be a bit of an asshole to be a good satenist, it's not really my thing, but you might like it.

If you're into the structure of life itself and nature, you might want to try Paganism

Oh, the energies and elements and spirits of the earth will guide us...

New Age neo-hippy bullshit, all of it. Go Elephantitis Man for fighting the good fight, albeit by beign a gigantic prick. A gigantic prick that is right, though.

If you actually need someone to guide you through it, then it's probably not right for you. The thing about religion is that you just know when you find what's right for you. You fall completely in love with a system of beliefs and it's so complete and beautiful that you don't need anyone else to tell you it's right, you just know.

The site above has a fairly objective view of religions, I suggest you start there.

Don't trust the people who say they will guide you on your spiritual journey, the only want to control you.
