I'm wondering to hear your opinions on what you think the future of the religion Islam will be. Will a few bad seeds spoil the entire religion? Idk totse but, you tell me.
Probably at catostrophic terrorist attack in the US and Israel the results in the destruction of Mecca on metro areas with lots of muslims. So a decline in the next 100 years
The conversion rates are increasing despite terrorism and the acts of a few in the name of a religion they do not follow. Islam will soon be the religion with the largest following in the entire world as conversion rates RAPIDLY grow every single day. Mecca can be obliterated, so can the Dome of the Rock and every other place Muslims pray in, this Religion is here to stay and can't be stopped it seems as it has grown immensely over the years. They can even try to ban the production of the Qur'an in a bout of oppression and even so will it not stop the religion which is already too widespread, memorized orally and easy to follow.
Is Christianity Declining? In my opinion yes, more and more people aren't buying this whole Jesus is the Son of God but we can't explain it bull.
Is Non Theistic Buddhism on the Rise, yes in my opinion and it might come to be the spiritual alternative to Islam which will have the largest population of followers (people claiming to be Muslim).
Atheists, Muslims, Buddhists.
Christians and Jews may be in a smaller minority because of large portions of Christian and Jewish youth leaving their religions and attempting to seek the truth many of whom end up Atheists, Muslims, or Buddhists.
Buddhism is an excellent belief system and I don't mind if more people actually follow the teachings.
Islam if followed properly according to the Qur'an is also an excellent belief system and having somewhat similar ideas as are found in Buddhism.
Judaism already has a smaller population and there are not massive attempts at conversions. Judaism is considered by some to be an Ethnic Religion and this mistake has led to its decline.
Christianity still has a fighting chance if it updates its beliefs and appreciates that Jesus is only the Metaphorical Son of God and not the Literal Son of God. Christianity has excellent teachings but is not so direct and clear as Buddhism or Islam which shoots straight to the point. The more educated in populations find themselves displeased with Christianity as it seems to leave too many unanswered questions and strange beliefs which are not completely compatible with human logic: God is One and Three and Is a Father of a Son who is Also Him.
Islam: God is One, Imageless, Be Good, Pray. You only have one life, you will be judged based on your conduct in this life.
Buddhism: Follow the Eightfold Path to Escape Suffering and Attain Nirvana. You will return if you did not attain Nirvana and escape the cycle of life, death, and rebirth.
Atheism: There is no God, Follow your desires within the Law of your nation, if you do not, don't get caught. You only have one life to live, enjoy it, or don't, it's up to you and you will not be judged save by those around you and yourself.

I hear the opposite is true. Are you sure more people are converting to islam rather than leaving? Do you have a cite for this statement?
I don't mean people will stop converting because of terrorists. I'm saying the Muslim populations will be decimated because of the retribution.
And I don't see why Allah would allow Mecca to be destroyed if if was the holiest place in Islam.
Christianity's beliefs don't need updated.
It is on the decline because our society is shit. People don't have a problem believing in the Trinity, especially since the Bible supports the idea.

what's your point, exactly?
A newspaper article that doesn't list any cites itself, is hardly a reliable source.
quote:Islam is said to be the nation's fastest-growing religion, fueled by immigration, high birth rates and widespread conversion.
Nothing in that article mentioned worldwide conversion rates rapidly growing.

If anyone has read Timothy Leary, I believe that Islam and Buddism, and Even Hinduism, have more of a grip over people because these religions, with the meditative practices tap into the higher brain circuits. They tap into these circuits and feel a presence which their minds tell them its God, where as Christians don't meditate and pray that deeply. The only christians I see doing that are the ones who are extreme about it, the quakers that quake, and the mormons that claim they feel a presence in their church like no other, so do evangelists. This is a result of imprinting of the 5th Neuro-semantic circuit. They say advanced meditation feels better than even hard drugs like LSD, which is why buddist monks and followers of any religion that pray really hard feel that they talk to God. Yet, even Atheists who dont believe in God can actually meditate into having psychadelic experiences.
