Now to get this you have to realize that i live in South Carloina which is part of the bible belt. Religion is cool and all that and I am not a Satanist at all.
Today i wore a pentagram to school. I got called in to the principals office and he said that he had got complaints for other people about my pentagram saying that it offended them, and ordered me to take it off.
I told him that i fond the cross that ALL the others wear are offensive to me and i would only take off my pentagram if they took off the crosses. You should have seen his face it was so fucking funny that i broke into tears while i was laughing my balls off.
So now i got alt. school for the next fucking month. Thats some shit ain't it?

A month? Shit, thats anal.
At the school I went to, you might've been asked to put your school jumper on. And if you didn't, the teacher would probbly just shrug and walk off.
Thats Bible Bashers for you.

Dude. I live in Mississippi, and I know what you're talking about. It sucked when I was in high school here.. exactly the same, it was. Their ignorance and intolerance makes you want to do something about it, but what you did is definitely not the way to get anything done. I understand your frustration, though. I'd say that your best bet would be to suck it up and deal with it. You won't be there too much longer.
I suspect theres more to the story. But if there isn't It seems to a potential violation your freedome of speach.
hahahahahahahahahaha, OH MY FUCKING GOD
at my school the extent of our religion is scripture once a term, so once every 3 or 4 months, its funny coz the school is close to two synagogues, so we have heaps of jews, and yet you barely get in trouble for going 'oh you fucking jew', then again it depends who hears it... we cam wear almost anything thats the school colours and thats it

More people need to stand up for this. It's ridiculous here in the South. Check this out... one of my friends got a week of ISS for not standing up when we say the fucking pledge of allegience.

yall should have burned his commy ass.
im from texas so i know what yall are saying, and when i was in school id do the same stuff, wore a mushroomhead tshirt all day with the anarchist a on the back, people were freakin out. but standing out by stepping out of the box, and not standing during the pledge are two totally different things.
being atheist i could care less if we say under god in the pledge, but im proud of the fact that i even have a flag to pledge to. so if its saying god or standing up and taking off my hat is what i have to do...by yalls god i will.

Well see, he wasn't trying to make some sort of empty cliche political statement. It had been previously announced that we were "required" to stand during the pledge (in which we most definitely could not leave out the under God part) and we all thought it was stupid, so a few of us stayed seated to see what our bitch whore of a teacher would do. She told us to stand up or else. I stood... he was the only one that stayed down. She didn't say anything else, but she wrote him up and the principal gave him a week of ISS.
I am patriotic and so is he. He is a Christian, whereas I am not a Christian. However, I believe that nobody should be forced to do something like say the pledge... reguardless of your beliefs or the majority's beliefs. Their motivation behind making students do this is blatantly obvious and rather disturbing in my opinion. Then they disguise this by saying that they only want to keep order, and that everyone has to stand, but you don't have to say it or salute. What a bunch of bullshit.
We should have called the ACLU... even though they are a bunch of fuckheads.

Well I'm not bullshitting about my friend getting ISS. If you're calling bullshit on what I said about it being ridiculous in the South, then you're probably right. I didn't mean to generalize. I'm sure that the majority of schools don't waste their time worrying about who says the pledge and who doesn't. And then within those schools that do worry about it, the teacher whose class you're in can determine whether or not you "have" to say it. It was just that within this particular school in this particular teacher's classroom, we were punished if we didn't at least stand up. It's a very reasonable request, I know... but nobody wants to be told that they should do one thing or another when it comes down to matters of personal belief. My friend actually didn't have any sort of anti-American sentiment. He was just being himself. But it's still ridiculous.
We had a nice little discussion about his whole standing for the flag thing in SG earlier today believe it or not. And you gotta love the can-can!

Using the fact youre in the bible belt is bollocks.
The pentagrap was used in ancient greece and was used widly in paganism, worshiping the natural AND Christians once commonly used the pentagram to represent the five wounds of Jesus .
You shouldve pointed that out to the hypocritical bastards and pointing out how they have been brainwashed by the modern christian religion as to how its actually an "evil" sign just because they wanted to wipe out the pagan or natural religion to get more of a hold on the world.
