I've done a lot of research on Sikhism, and I have a serious interest in joining the Khalsa. How would i go about asking my local Gurdwara to "baptize" me? Or would it be better to talk to someone who is a Sikh that is merely an aquaintance.

It doesn't seem like there are all that many serious posts here, mostly Jesus vs. Satan kinds of stuff.
