i believe that there is no afterlife, and when you die, your essence is wiped from the earth just like before you existed at all. i think that its too mind blowing for people to try to imagine a world without their eyes seeing it, or their hands touching it, which makes perfect sense, because there is no other way for an individual to percieve anything. so because a world without one's point of view is unfathomable, people came up with an "afterlife" to make people feel secure and not fear the end, to give them hope that there are better things waiting for you after death.

many people iv told this to thought it was a depressing fate, but i dont see it that way at all. the way i see it, it doesnt matter if you wont exist anymore, there will be no feelings to be felt, exactly like before you existed anyway.

so in simpler phrasing: when you die, the world ends.

I think we have no essence and simply change from an animate-being to a inanimate-being.

I disagree, starting with the "before we existed" part.

In my book, life is eternal. We all have always existed, as parts of the universal intelligence if not as discrete loci.

We do not die, just change.
