View Full Version : A refutation of Christianity.

Dueteronomy states: 'If a prophet arises among you offering some sign or wonder and if he then tells you to follow other gods and worship them, do not listen to that prophet's words. Yahweh your God is testing you to find out if you love him with all your heart and soul. That prophet must be put to death. You must banish this evil from among you.’
The only evidence that Jesus is the son of God comes from the new testament, a dusty old book that could have been written by anyone and easily made up. Christians worship Jesus as if he is part of God or is God, as if he is a deity. And if he is not, then they are worshipping a false representation of God.
And what does God say about worshipping false representations of God? "I am the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of slavery. Thou shalt have no other gods before Me" It’s the first commandment, for crying out loud!
Jesus isn’t even mentioned in the old testament! Christians desperately interpret it (i.e, make it up) to say it does.
Therefore, if you’re a Christian, you’re going to hell.

Also, in Arabic Jesus could only say "son of God", not "the son" or "a son".

Christian faith has many flaws. Many turn blind eyes to this though, as their "faith" is stronger than logic. I fear it is because many humans cannot comprehend this being it. This life is so shitty that many must believe there is something better after to keep from going insane. I pity them....

jesus was more than a prophet he was the messiah so the first point dosent really stand.
the bible could have been made up but bassic schoolership indicates it wasnt and that it was written by more than one person at differing points in time...
jesus asa name isnt mentioned in the old testament but countless prophcies pointing to him are, some more dubious than others...
and so no im not going to hell

In the Old Testament they talk about a Messiah coming. There are many signs to look for in this Messiah (approx. 100 or so but I'm not sure) and Jesus matched up to all of them. Example, the Messiah had to be a descendent of David, and Jesus was on his mother's side. His name hasn't been immortalized out of gullability. Throughout history many have claimed to be the Messiah, yet almost none have stood the test of time. I wish I knew the Bible better as I would be able to quote Old and New Testament and show you where it matches up. Probably wouldn't do much to convice you guys anyway. I don't know, I felt the same way for a long time, but after going through some shit and seeing some coinsidences I started to believe. Just read the Bible some, might not make you a believer, but it can teach you about the character of man.

Jesus didn't speak Arabic. Duh?
Plus, 'the son' in arabic would be 'il bin'

For ease of use, please put the scripture location, including the chapter and verse. Thanks. http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif)

Some of the numerous Old Testament prophecies fulfilled by Jesus (http://www.konig.org/messianic.htm).
If you doubt the honesty of the New Testament authors, or that Jesus ever existed, please research the historical writings of Pliny the Younger and Josephus. They confirm the claims of the authors of the New Testament.

See above.
God talks about Himself in the plural in the Old Testament numerous times. I can show you why we consider Jesus and the Holy Spirit to be a part of God, as a 3-in-1 entity, if you'd like.

And I guess the writers of Odysseus and Homer are as accurate and honest as the biblical scholars. Not to mention the fact that Ancient Greek myths have stood for over 4,000 years or so, and still are in our cultural mindset.
The only difference is most people realize religions turn to mythologies in short spans of time. The only difference with Christianity is that if you were a Pagan you would have been killed. If you had a different religion you would have been killed.
If you lived in a country that didn't have the authority of the Pope, you would have fought off a crusade.
Jesus in the heretical/gnostic gospels was a different man than the Bible portrays of him. If you do not believe the gnostic version of Jesus, then you are a hypocrite. That is, if any of the lore is true to begin with!
God loves you, Nigga Jesus.

Jesus didn't fulfil these prophecies:
A. Build the Third Temple (Ezekiel 37:26-28).
B. Gather all Jews back to the Land of Israel (Isaiah 43:5-6).
C. Usher in an era of world peace, and end all hatred, oppression, suffering and disease. As it says: "Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall man learn war anymore." (Isaiah 2:4)
D. Spread universal knowledge of the God of Israel, which will unite humanity as one. As it says: "God will be King over all the world -- on that day, God will be One and His Name will be One" (Zechariah 14:9).
Christians counter that Jesus will fulfill these in the Second Coming, but Jewish sources show that the Messiah will fulfill the prophecies outright, and no concept of a second coming exists.

This is the whole argument for Judaism. Hence they believe that Jesus was a prophet, and the second Messiah is yet to come.
I posted a thread similar to this a few weeks back, but it was mostly entirely skipped over.

Actually, Jesus probably spoke hebrew amoungst his friends and greek with non-jewish people he met in his travels. The bible WAS originally written in greek, but that's just because greek was the common trade language back then, so more people would've been able to understand it.

I also found a couple sites offering alternate theories; one suggested Jesus spoke Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. The other, a Hebrew site, unsurprisingly claimed that Jesus spoke Hebe. http://www.totse.com/bbs/biggrin.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/biggrin.gif)
