Wow. (http://icr.org/articles/view/3010/)
I find this article scarily ignorant. I would go into its various errors, point-by-point, but there are so many... http://www.totse.com/bbs/tongue.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/tongue.gif) Your thoughts?
No real surprise, they have been blaming Darwin for Hitler's atrocities for quite some time now.
The sad thing is that people might actually believe this inane, contradictory, bullshit.

I.... dont even know what to say here.
I dont even think there's much legitimacy to this whole idea of how immoral we're all becoming.
Sure, you can cite three recent school shootings, but compared to the history of man kind that isn't anything.
Not to say there are no problems in the world and everything is going great, but I really dont think we're snowballing downhill like these people would like to have us believe.
At least not in my life experience.

when you look a a picture with only black and white on it, do you focus on the black or do you focus on the white?
Immorality stands out more than morality, it gives news reporters something to do.

Think about *all* the wars for religion. The ones that aren't even documented. Some indigenous tribe in a remote area killing another because their beliefs are different.

People like Stalin and Hitler would have done that crap regardless, they're just crazy narcissits.
You don't need to believe in evolution to think you're better than everyone else.
Religious wars, those are hundreds, thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions of people hating other people because of their diffrent beliefs. Killing them because they've been taught they should by some book/fanatic leader.
Genocides on the other hand, one pursuasive guy with some muscle gets into power, convinces them it's right, and if they don't believe he kills them. Not to mention, take hitler for example. He lied about and hid what he did. Most germans were against the movement, but they were either powerless or didn't know what was really going on. (like most of the world they were kept in the dark)
Where as Isreal vs pakistan. They all know what's going on, and why. There are people who disagree. but more who agree.
Religious wars, the blatent spewing of hatred and ignorance, and crazy juice (yes crazy juice).
Genocide, crazy people and a touch of propaganda. =)
/end unthought-out rant
I would say secular, just because of our stupidly huge population increase over the last 100 years or so, just as religion has become less of an issure.

almost every war has been based on religion. maybe not as black and white as the crusades, or WW2, but when you look at the causes, good old racism is usually a prime motivation.
one thing that annoys me about this article is that they are emotionalising darwin's work. they are calling it evil and immoral, like it is a person or a doctrine to live by. it is just theorys on how species grow and evolve. i fail to see how a scientific theory can be considered immoral.
Evolution is a part of nature.
Human consciousness has expanded providing self-awareness and giving the ability of free-will and thus the ability to attempt to believe that we are seperated from the animals and nature thus allowing us to do all the evil things in the world.
They're not really evil, and we're not really seperated from nature, we just think we are, kind of a like a delusional state where the only thing that's truly wrong is that we don't realize that everythings really just ok, and the same that it was before.
Evolution caused self-awareness, but it didn't cause our reaction to it and our current situation.
Unless of course you say we are still in evolution even though our consciousness in sourcing from a non-physical universe.

Of course evolution is responsible. How the hell else did we come from clubbing each other to shoting each other?

How about this:
10,000 years ago, 2.5% of the population was murdered.
Now, it's less than 1%.
