Obviously, the title of this thread is a joke, so don't bitch at me for that.

Well, I've been reading some stuff that says that that kind of question (aforementioned in the title) cannot be asked. This is because the question is in physical terms while the concept of "God" is a metaphysical idea. This made sense to me, so my question is two-fold.

1) Please either disprove this arguement or put in simpler terms and

2) What other reasons can you think of that a omniscient being is impossible?

1) we don't need to disprove it to you since you already had a reason it didn't work

2)omnipotent. and nothing, because the statements made in attempt to disprove omnipotence don't make sense at all anyway.

To the OP:

What you're trying to do is use an illogical statement to disprove the possibility of omnipotence.

1.) It doesn't make any sense to me. An omnipotent God must obviously be able to interact with the physical in some manner, or he'd be pretty ineffectual and not omnipotent at all.

An arguement can be made that the paradox proves God cannot be omni-everything. From my exprience, when this is posed to believers, they just say that it takes faith. I have no problem with faith, but not to the point where it becomes stupid and illogical.

God is of Spirit--or force, or Clear Light, whtever you want to call it. Whatever God is, is not physical, although God manifests in all things physical.

As Heinlein put it -- "I am God, thou art God, all that groks is God."

As the Bible put it "the kingdom of God is within you."

If he/she/it/them/whatever so CHOSE, God could manifest as a physical entity with whatever physical limitations he/she/it/them/whatever chose to have.

It is that simple.

Could Jesus microwav a burrito so hot even he himself could not eat it? or something like that.

it sounds stupid, but an omnipotent being is a paradox in itself. If god has infinite power, logic says that he can create ANYTHING in ANY shape or form, I.E an immovable boob

But how could god possibly be called omnipotent if he cant cant control this collosal boob?
