I am a Traditional Roman Catholic. May I ask the purpose of this thread? Is it, like, a statistical survey type thing, or something else?

God Bless,

Agnosticism is the best word to describe my beliefs. I know that it is not a religion, but it serves the purpose of this thread.

I pratice RICOISM. It's a new religion. I'm god and this is my world, everyone eles just lives in it. It's great, in RICOISM you follow a strict schedual of doing what you want, when you want because you fucking want to. Many people are members, but they just don't know it yet.

I'm a mix of Gnostic Christianity (that's the big part), nihilism, Buddhism, and other ideas taken from all over.

I follow them all, as a skeptic and non-believer.

Out of interest, how exactly are you in any sense a nihilist?

In an extremely complex way that would be hard to explain. Basically, I was a nihilist (http://www.counterorder.com) for a lot longer(several years) than I was for any of my current beliefs. All of my spiritual beliefs are matched with the cold logic of nihilism, always questioning myself. It's like believing in nothing(in the truest sense) and infinity at the same time. Two polar opposites in the same place. I've always been like that, it's part of being incredibly manic-depressive.

Raw_Power

Heh, I was a nihilist for quite some time... until I realized it wasn't nihilism but chronic depression. Reading Descartes removed my doubt about there being absolute truths, and the discovery of R.M. Hare's ethical theories changed me from being simply misanthropic to becoming a humanitarian-misanthrope with a realization of the incredible importance of morals. And then I discovered pantheism and process philosophy through the works of Heraclitus, Spinoza and Whitehead, and Richard Dawkins and Einstein really fueled my love for knowledge and the search for truth. I'd also say that reading about Hinduism and Buddhism has had a great impact on me. The one good thing I got from my "nihilism" phase was a keen form of scepticism... and that's my ranting over.

Well, I'm supposed to be Catholic, but I really suck at it. I'm not even Confirmed, and I'm 16. Aren't you supposed to be confirmed at like, 13? I guess I'm folk-Christian, cause' I throw in some other beliefs into the Catholic mix.

There are already Brights in over 100 nations, but I bet to calculate them accurately would be next to impossible. I couldn't find a firm number listed anywhere.

"Modern Liberals, With Some Exceptions, Are Fascists. They Preach Peace At The Expense Of Liberty, Diversity At The Expense Of Common Sense, Equality At The Expense Of Fairness And Choice At The Expense Of Life. They Are The First To Speak About Rights, Yet They Seek To Deny You Yours If You Disagree With Them. They Vociferate The Importance Of Free Speech, Yet Do Everything In Their Power To Stifle Yours. They Demonize The Very System Which Allows Them The Freedom To Criticize In The First Place, And They Are The Last People In Line When It Comes To Defending The One Country On Earth That Would Ever Tolerate Their Hypocrisy. They Are Divisive, Immoral And Utterly Incapable Of Understanding Why Everything I Just Wrote Is The Truth." - Edward L. Daley

"Activism is a way for useless people to feel important, even if the consequences of their activism are counterproductive for those they claim to be helping and damaging to the fabric of society as a whole." - Thomas Sowell

“Some of the most vocal critics of the way things are being done are people who have done nothing themselves, and whose only contributions to society are their complaints and moral exhibitionism.” – Thomas Sowell

“A liberal is someone who feels a great debt to his fellow man, which debt he proposes to pay off with your money.” – G. Gordon Liddy

Religion: One of the main causes of the earths death count.

For the record, Religion is all a lie.

There are so many religions and they all say that they are true. If they all say they are true, which one really is?

It's impossible to tell.

The christian bible for instance: This is pretty much just a game of Chinese Whispers that started and has been recorded for years on end.

Religion causes so many deaths.

I highly advise no one take offence to this.

Example: If a high representitive of the Islamic religion sais something Derogatory about Christians, Christianity turns it's head and ignores it.

If a high representitive of the Christian relgion sais something Derogatory about the Islamic religion, Christian churches across the world are burned, destroyed and desecrated.

Face it, the how and the reason we were put on this earth will never be known and proven. So there's really no point in creating your little religions and try and make something of yourself or "Change" the world.

We will never know the real reasons we were put on this earth or who or what did it, So there's no point in trying to find out.

P.S I do not beleive in the big bang theory.

I'm agnostic.
