What do you belive in?

Our heaven has a stripier factory and beer volcano.
And no one can deny the existence of a Flying Spaghetti Monster that is invisible.

My god is a vengeful god. He is an indian with the head of a wolf. Now bow your head and pretend to be serious.

I'm atheist also, but an argument I can think of for believing in the Christian god is that if we atheists happen to be wrong, we're going to hell, but if Christians are wrong, nothing happens. Better safe than sorry?

That logic doesn't work.
1. That logic assumes that the only possible god is the Christian God. There may be a god who rewards only those that are true to themselves, send atheists to heaven, and send those who say they believe in something as a way of "being safe" to Hell.
2. We can not induce belief in something that we reject by a sheer act of will. We have the skeptical viewpoints that we do based on evidence and lack of evidence, not a desire to play it safe. Saying that you believe that an omnipotent being exists is not the same as believing that one does.

I believe in keeping an open mind, that one should decide the 'truth' for themselves but not cling to it, that meditation is useful, study of texts is important, debate is a useful tool to clarify your own beliefs, intuition is as important as logic, technology can be a tool for self improvement, and a good diet and regular exercise are helpful to maintain a healthy body and mind.

good point and i agree with you however even if the logic was correct and the christans would lose something if there wrong, they would have wasted there life, the time the took for anything they had to do with religion.

This is basicly what i belive at the moment, and it has served me well. debate is also quite enjoyable when you have a resonable apponant(for lack of a better word)
