When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment. (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)

Moses, Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the people went to meet them outside the camp. But Moses was furious with all the military commanders who had returned from the battle. "Why have you let all the women live?" he demanded. "These are the very ones who followed Balaam's advice and caused the people of Israel to rebel against the LORD at Mount Peor. They are the ones who caused the plague to strike the LORD's people. Now kill all the boys and all the women who have slept with a man. Only the young girls who are virgins may live; you may keep them for yourselves.(

Numbers 31:7-18 NLT)

I will spend on them woe upon woe and exhaust all my arrows against them: "Emaciating hunger and consuming fever and bitter pestilence, And the teeth of wild beasts I will send among them, with the venom of reptiles gliding in the dust. "Snatched away by the sword in the street and by sheer terror at home Shall be the youth and the maiden alike, the nursing babe as well as the hoary old man. (Deuteronomy 32:23-25 NAB)

"At that time the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jephthah, and he went throughout the land of Gilead and Manasseh, including Mizpah in Gilead, and led an army against the Ammonites. And Jephthah made a vow to the LORD. He said, "If you give me victory over the Ammonites, I will give to the LORD the first thing coming out of my house to greet me when I return in triumph. I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering."

"So Jephthah led his army against the Ammonites, and the LORD gave him victory. He thoroughly defeated the Ammonites from Aroer to an area near Minnith – twenty towns – and as far away as Abel-keramim. Thus Israel subdued the Ammonites. When Jephthah returned home to Mizpah, his daughter – his only child – ran out to meet him, playing on a tambourine and dancing for joy. When he saw her, he tore his clothes in anguish. "My daughter!" he cried out. "My heart is breaking! What a tragedy that you came out to greet me. For I have made a vow to the LORD and cannot take it back." And she said, "Father, you have made a promise to the LORD. You must do to me what you have promised, for the LORD has given you a great victory over your enemies, the Ammonites. But first let me go up and roam in the hills and weep with my friends for two months, because I will die a virgin." "You may go," Jephthah said. And he let her go away for two months. She and her friends went into the hills and wept because she would never have children. When she returned home, her father kept his vow, and she died a virgin. So it has become a custom in Israel for young Israelite women to go away for four days each year to lament the fate of Jephthah's daughter." (Judges 11:29-40 NLT)

As I have said many times, the Bible is largely myth and metaphor and there is some seriously crazy shit--especially a lot of stuff in Exodus.

There ARE two quotye I think are right one--when Jesus said that the kingdom of God is within you--in other words, heaven is not a place, but a state of mind we can create here on earth.

The other is when he said "All these things I have done, ye can do also--all these and more." In other words, he was nothing special, just a messenger, one of many prophets.

Jesus also states the Truth will set you free.

Heaven is all around you right now, how else do you think this state of mind is created?

How else do you think Jesus made food appear from thin air, or healed the blind?

Yes according to spiritualist the human mind is capable of eternal bliss, read about the kundalini yoga it will explain how the human mind is capable of psychic phenomonon with spiritual enlightenment.

Your right, Jesus wanted us to learn what the human mind is capable of, It wasnt that Jesus is special, It was his environment that allowed these miracles.

According to Philosophy: The human mind is capable of controlling reality in omnipotent fantasy. That means all of your dreams are capable of coming true before the day you die.

That means planet earth including the rest of the universe is Heaven untill the day we die. Why else do you think Time is so precious to philosophers? Reality is not going to last forever.

"Love your enemies".

"Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance."

It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.

--Proverbs 21:19 (KJV)

A wise man has great power, and a man of knowledge increases strength; for waging war you need guidance, and for victory many advisers.

--Proverbs 24:5-6 (NIV)

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

--John 1:5 (NIV)

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

--1 Corinthians 13:11 (KJV)

He that is not with me is against me.

--Luke 11:23 (KJV)

A fool shows his annoyance at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult.

--Proverbs 12:16 (NIV)

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their deeds were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his deeds have been carried out in God." John 3:16-21

"Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear. "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it." Mathew 13:43-46

So Egypt did not exist? Moses was not a person? Pontius pilot was nothing but a fabrication? Thinking before speaking is always good practice. Oppinions are cheap and everyone has enough of them. Instead let us set our oppinions aside and search for truth. If the Bible is claimed to be so terribly flawed show me so that I might have a chance to argue the falicy of that statement. Heaven is indeed a place and not a state of mind as is stated throughout scripture. Do not pick verses of your preference and give them untrue meaning please.

The human mind controls our thoughts. We use some of these as actions in reality, and some stay as thoughts in fantasy.

We cannot control reality through thoughts and not actions, it is just fantasy.

Ephesians 5 22Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

23For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

1 Timothy 2 9In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

10But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

11Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

12But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

13For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

14And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

15Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

1 Peter 3

1Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;

2While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.

3Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

4But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

5For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:

6Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

Sorry buddy the human mind can control reality with thoughts according to philosophers, how else do you think psychic abilitys are real?

I never said it was easy to accomplish!

How else do you think Jesus made wine from water, food from thin air, and healed the blind just by thinking about it?

Or maybe, it didn't happen.

Do you just accept everything you're told to be fact?

How did Jesus turn the water into wine, you ask? Well, firstly he told the audience to turn around and then he did the old switcheroo.

That is another conclusion, If these miracles did not happen then the bible is fake, and written to scare and rob the masses.

Would some of you AT LEAST READ THE FUCKING BOOK before commenting?!

Oh and Pat-Macrotch, claiming the miracles actually happened the way you probably saw in some jesus dvd...the key phrase is 'let him who hath ears'.
