I got it too. Great book even if I find some parts difficult to understand. Taoism is so simple it's difficult.

It's quite possible the only religious text that laughs at itself and remains absolutely dignified.

I read it a few years ago when I was taking a world religions class. We were assigned to read parts of it, but I actually found it very interesting and ended up reading most of it on my own time.

Though I found it interesting to read, I dont mean to imply that I bought in to it a whole lot. Though I would say it is definitely worth a read if you find the time, it hasnt really made much of an impact on my life.

I found it by reading A Million Little Pieces. I only read it because I was bored and I found in laying in the house and it had the work fuck a fuck lot in there.

also good are: "the way of chuang tzu" and "the book of lieh tzu".

I think taoism is the philosophy I feel closest too.

Many Hindu, and Eastern books of spiritual philosophy are "great".

A Million Little Pieces is a good book. Oprah got all pissed off about it because it wasn't completely true. The guy exagerated a lot of things and completely made up others. I never expect a novel to be a complete factual account of someone's life story.

I read and still frequently read passages of the Tao Te Ching. It is a very interesting philosophy. There is alot more to Taoism that I would like to know about.
