The bible says killing of innocent people is wrong...

quote:

Genesis 9:6 - Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed, for in the image of God He made man.

Exodus 20:13 - You shall not murder.

Deuteronomy 27:25a - Cursed is he who accepts a bribe to strike down an innocent person.

Proverbs 6:16-19 - There are six things which the LORD hates, yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood...

...And that fetuses are living people

quote:

Jeremiah. 1:5. Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you.

But doesn't the Bible also say that children carry their parents' sins? So wouldn't a fetus technically not be innocent?

Global abortion please,

That is what she needs

I doubt they're referring to genetics, but rather, learned behaviors.

(I'm sure you realize that though... http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif) )

Nah, I recall it saying something about the generations being cursed - do your theological duty: spill the anti-christ blood of the unborn.

And for fuck's sake, yes, I'm joking.

Sounds like you're talking about original sin.

'Thou shalt not kill'

Sounds clear enough to me.

Good thing I'm not christian.

there are no quotes, but translations that relate to our society. the vatian release a book every few years that says how the bibble veruses apply to morden day life. think about it, thousands of years ago there was no technology for an abortion or the need for it, so why would they write someting on it.

That is probably the funniest book ever published then.

Uhhhh... women had abortions during Jesus's time. They knew that certain herbs would force a women to abort. Curiously enough, Jesus never denounced this.
