Anyone have any schemes/knowledge about the foundations of getting a new religon going, all the peliminary things I would need to do and any other tips on topic?

I assume that the best angle to work towards is faking like it's already established, but I would definately need something to prove it's existance, a website, a bible, or fuck even a pamphlet!

If anyone wants more information on what this religon would entail, read my thread in BI, not just the first post either:

You need charisma. Starting a religion is like...being a stock broker. You have to sell that shit. You have to be confident, and people have to like you, really like you.

The only thing you need to start a new religion is followers. And that means people skills.

You need to be able to spot desparation and take advantage of it...or as bullshitters call it, 'People skills.'

As said, your charisma has to be through the roof. You need to sound immensely profound even if saying simple things.

It might also help to try and create a psuedo believable premise by taking ideas from preexisting religions. It worked for Christianity, Buddhism and Islam!

first thing is, you would need a belief system....and some sort of dogma. You don't have to be able to prove the validity of it though, christians haven't and they're doing pretty good for themselves. just like every other religion.

First I have to say - salvation isn't about religious doctrine or dogmatic rituals. So what the thread starter is talking about is no different then any other cult or denomination pulled out of man's imagination.

Second, I don't understand why you require a Christian to validate or prove their faith to belong in society?

Third< I don't understand how all the crackhead ideas out there are ok with you but you seem to have a problem with the ways of someone who believes in God. I don't see how any of that makes sense to you?
