This is a serious question that has been troubling me lately. Are fundamentalist Christians really that great in number or is this merely the ranting of over zealous secularists??
I would prefer links w/ your posted responses

It sounds like you're looking for facts rather then opinions. You ask people for links with their answers, why not just find the information yourself.

I believe the 'church' of the true living God is much greater then the "secularist" media portrays.
There is a government/media complex working together to obtain a "bigoted" free world free of opposing views and ideas.
My advice is to take a break from the news for a while and get involved with your communities to see if "fundamentalist" ideas exist. You'll have to understand what the model of society the bible portrays is before you could do that I suppose.
Read the bible and you may learn a great deal about civility and what living in peace means. You will also learn about how the "yeast" of bad ideas can destroy a good thing as well. An entire village can be destroyed with a little "poison in the well"

What the fuck are you talking about. Last time I checked, the media reports on lots of opposing views and ideas called conflicts. Like the ones in the middle east between Israel and it's neighbors, or terrorism which is essentially fundementalist muslims attacking predominantly christian countries.
Then when I look in my community I see people hating eachother over gay rights, abortion, and recreational drug use.
And there are lots of fundamentalist christians out there. And they cause more fucking problems in my country than almost any other group.
The fact of the matter is society will always be in conflict while assholes like you believe there is a model society of perfect function. Society and the people its composed of are dynamic, and only tolerance and acceptance of others choices that do not directly impact negatively on the world will bring us close to a peaceful coexistant. You are the problem.
