I'm an agnostic or atheist or whatever you want to label me as, but if there is a hell, the following people are going there, amongst many others:

People who exploit loopholes in their religious rules. This includes, but is not limited to Jews who on Sabbath have clap-on TVs and voice-activated electronic gizmos, etc. For those not familiar with it, Jews aren't really allowed to do anything on Sabbath, which I believe includes pushing buttons, like those on your TV. And yet everyone has TVs where you can change channels by clapping, because they're technically "not doing work". If there is a God, he sees through your bullshit. Don't even bother.

Also, Muslims and others who do not drink alcohol, but smoke weed or other drugs. The reason the Quran doesn't mention weed is because there was no weed around then. If your holy scripture tells you not to drink alcohol, it probably means any mind-altering drug. I don't know much about religion, but you're probably pissing God off more by lying and cheating your way through religion.

This isn't a legal contract. You don't find loopholes. Religion is something which you either believe in, or you don't. NO MIDDLE GROUND. You can't say: "Well, I'm sure God meant to word things differently..."

NO! Either be a man and realize you don't actually believe in or agree with the religion, or fully accept it, follow it, and run your life by the faith.

RELIGION IS NOT SOMETHING YOU GO TO CHURCH ONCE A WEEK FOR JUST TO GET INTO HEAVEN. YOU CAN'T FOOL GOD.

I wish I could remember the line from the Bible that says most people who claim to know Jesus don't really and he'll turn his cheek to them when he comes back. It's basically saying what you're saying.

Depends on whether you speak of theology or religion. If you're expecting miracles, salvation, redemption, ect...well, no shit you're going to be disappointed. So many people are so half assed when it comes to religion. You cant just follow the rules you want to follow, you should follow all of them. And so many people I know arent religious at all in their daily lives but still go to church on easter and christmas. What the hell is the point? If you dont really believe it and dont want to devote more of your life to it (Im not saying enter a monastary, just keep religion as part of your daily life) then just dont do it.

I am not sure what you are looking for in religion. If it is for something to do then I guess you are looking in the right direction with Islam and Judaism. If however you are speaking of Christianity I believe you have the wrong idea. The fact that we do screw up and always will never changes. We are subject to original sin and thus even our highest achievements are as dirty rags to the Lord. No it is not doing everything exactly how you are suppose to, because you will always fail. It is finally giving up your futile plight and putting your sins on Christ that you might live through him. It is through Christ that your works come and not of yourself. That is not to say we throw out the law, but we are not saved by the law, we are saved by the gospel. That gospel is the grace God has given us on the Cross through Christs death and ressurection we no longer have to worry about hell or whether or not our actions are good enough. We confide in the Lord who is the only truly perfect one.

You have absolutely no belief in yourself in a person do you? So much so that you have cheapened the achievements of this world to the point of calling the 'dirty rags'. Your promised land is not coming, i hope you enjoyed wasting your life believing in a fairy tale.

No, knowledge is #2 on my priority list. #1 is responsible use of knowledge.

Our world uses knowledge to destroy itself, and no amount of knowledge is going to save us. We know what we need to know: we know we are our own destroyer...but hey, everybody dies sometime, so why give a shit about future generations...I'm going to go to college, get a nice job, pay taxes, party the whole fucking time, then die. Nevermind that I didn't bother doing anything good for the world, I still believe in some mythical savior, so I'll be alright when I die even though I did nothing but contribute to the world's plague that is civilization...

It's okay to know shit...I find learning to be a very important thing...but to think that utilizing your knowledge for personal gain is going to truly help yourself, or anyone else, is ignorance of the utmost degree.

You want to know how to help yourself, and everyone else? Quit your job, quit paying taxes, leech off the system until it won't let you, then go live amongst nature feeding from the fields, drinking from the rivers, and entertaining yourself with nature's provisions, music, and art...too bad we've raped the fields, polluted the rivers, and lost our appreciation of diverse art. And how? Through utilizing our knowledge for personal gain.

Except that hashish was fairly common in their society since long before Islam came around. The writers of the Quran were well aware of the existence of weed. I give everything else a thumbs up, though. Look at the top of my post if you don't believe me.

Also, don't forget those people who don't stone people of other religions to death. It's in Deuteronomy or Leviticus, I can't remember which. Oh! And those who wear clothing made from more than one material. And those who don't stone women who don't scream loud enough when they get raped.

Weed was around WAY before Jesus was even an itch in his dad's (God?) pants. But yeah, I know that in Islam the person who doesn't believe is better than the person who pretends to believe.
