This has been bothering me for sometime now. There is plenty of evidence that L Ron Hubbard was a fraud, that he made up scientology for a quick buck, and that he wrote Dianetics off the top of his head under a month, there is no evidence whatsoever for Thetans and Xenus, his claims in Dianetics were debunked, and it’s been shown time and time again that they extort money, attack critics viciously and don’t give a shit about their members. So why the hell do people still get suckered into this shit?

I’ve been researching scientology and it’s actually been really disturbing me. I mean, there was this girl who was held against her will for 17 days and died from a blood clot cause by dehydration. I had to stop reading about it because it disturbed me so much, plus I’m a really paranoid person and was afraid they were going to sucker me into it with mind-control techniques (told you I was paranoid).

So why, why the hell do people still get suckered in? What the hell is wrong with these people? Is it the ego boost because scientologists think they’re saving a world that wouldn’t exist if they weren’t there? What is it? What the hell is wrong with people?

There's actually a simple answer to this: Scientologists are stupid, gullible fucks.
