I've still yet to see why ID is a theory...at best, it's a hypothesis...though those are usually based upon an observation or article of evidence...so I'm afraid intelligent design falls into the category of 'utter bullshit'.

There was a court case in denver i believe where a school wanted ID taught along side evolution in science as an equal theory, saying, that it was based on science.

I believe Ken Miller testified COMPLETELY ripping apart the IDs basis for reason, the flagellum, basically the judge ruled that ID isnt science.

There is a small group of people who don't seem to realize that religion is based on faith and not empirical evidence. They can't compartmentalize their brain and accept the reasons of science on one hand, and the irrationality of their faith on the other. And, in fact, by doing so, they ruin something great: faith.

I don't have faith, but I don't mind if people do, as long as that faith does not lead them to do anything stupid such as corrupt science, because faith gives people hope and keeps them going through life.

Basically, these idiots are trying to equate hope with fact to strengthen their hope because they feel it is threatened, instead of strengthening their faith in a less-damaging, more useful manner.

The tried (and failed) to intelligence design in school because the courts already said they could not teach creationism.
