I'm sure this has been posted at sometime, and if the mods want, you can delete this, but I'm very interested to know.
Has anyone of you SEEN a ghost? A UFO? The Devil? An Angel? Anything that cannot be explained?
I myself have never.
I've read stories, seen TV shows, watched movies, etc. that were BASED ON REAL LIFE.
One such example: The Exorcism of Emily Rose
Granted I only stayed through half the movie because I got sick from taking to much caffeine, but it was very interesting to see some of the things in the movie.
Can anyone shed personal light on this?
EDIT: Sorry for misspelling "seen" in the title.

What exactly are you expecting from this thread? People will either flame you or claim to have seen a ghost or satan, which is really just a flame in disguise.

I'm expecting that the kidiots who would do that are hopefully asleep by now.
I'm dead serious about this.

I don't think anyone will take me seriously, but I have seen things which defy rational explanation. It is why I believe in God, actually. Without having had experiences, I think I'd probably be atheist.

probably
I've seen a little girl standing in the spare room at my Dad's place. She was there for a second then gone. Not malevolent or anything, just there. I went and told a frind of my brother who looked at me funny for a second and picked up his mobile and called my brother "Hey mate, I'm with Rory at your place. He just saw her too". My brother had seen her a week prior. Two days later another friend who hadn't heard the story looked out the window into our yard
"What the fuck?"
"What?"
"There's a girl by that tree!"
"What?"
"What the fuck? Where'd she go?"
Not really proof, just kinda trippy.
EDIT: Forgot to say, a girl apparently died of influenza in the house, no idea which room or anything.

Well, I've talked to several different beings, although they weren't "ghosts" or "satan"(Satan is probably the least understood figure in mythology).
One of my most intenesly spiritual moments was a few weeks ago. I had decided to smoke(more specifically, vaporize) some high quality marijuana and properly meditate for once. I put a pillow on my floor, lit a candle, set my weed smoking supplies next to me, then turned off the lights and sat down.
I smoked a fair amount to the point where I was pretty damn stoned. I tried closing my eyes and relaxing, but the candle was too distracting, so I blew it out. My memory of just how exactly things went down is a bit hazy, but this is the gist of it:
I slowed my breathing, let myself go, and focused on the visuals I was experiencing (I get CEVs and OEVs more intensly and more frequently than most people with weed). Pretty soon, I was in front of a group of nameless, faceless people, a sort of tribunal - but not in any malicious or authoritative way. Well, they weren't "people", but they were beings. This is a bit hard to describe, as you can imagine. They started talking to me and it felt as if I was talking to myself in a way, but really it was more like they were talking through me to me. This was a bit unexpected, and immediately the cynical and logical side of me protested saying that I was crazy or just really stoned. They told me to not worry and to let go, that it didn't matter if it really was just me or if it was other beings - in the end it was the same. They(me?) said that it was the experience that counted, I wanted something like this and so I shouldn't stop myself from having it.
They basically gave encompassing, probably metaphorical(and literal at the same time) prophecy of my life. We were on like, a cliff/mountain, sort of, and there was a huge chasm/hole ahead of me with another cliff/mountain on the other side. They asked me if they thought I could jump to the other side. I hesitated and thought about it for a moment and said "Yes", but after I answered and began to run, I had second thoughts and slowed down. Then they asked again, "Are you sure?", and I realized that I could do whatever the hell I wanted, and basically thought, "Fuck it", and ran as fast as I could and jumped. I almost didn't make it. My foot hit the edge of the cliff and I fell, but I grabbed on and pulled myself up, kept walking and never looked back...
That was one of my experiences. If you'd like to hear more, I'll go on, but I'm not going to write it if it's not wanted/not appreciated
edit: I realized in the begining I talked about changing your views about spirituality/religion, but that mainly applied to the true nature of ghosts/satan which I have not personally experienced, and have only read about. If that's what you were hoping for, I'm sorry, but I hope that you got something out of my testimony, so to speak...

Saw my first "ghost" as a young child, I just thought he was a regular person, except no one else could see him.
Satan is amyth, but I did encounter a discarnate entity who was insane and thought he wa Satan.
BTW, this sort of thing is probably more suited to PD.
How about UFO’s.
Mid afternoon last November pilots and United aircraft maintenance workers at O’Hare saw a UFO hovering over the airport. After a while it rapidly shot upward leaving a round hole in the overcast sky.
Of course United and FAA officials denied the incident, obviously these individuals were not “trained” observers so their reports were pretty much ignored.
However some of the dozen United employees who saw the hovering disc said they were interviewed by company officials and instructed to write reports and draw pictures of what they observed, and then they were advised to “refrain from speaking about what they saw."
“FAA spokeswoman Elizabeth I. Cory said, "Our theory on this is that it was a weather phenomenon. That night (4:30PM ?) was a perfect atmospheric condition in terms of low cloud ceiling and a lot of airport lights. When the lights shine up into the clouds, sometimes you can see funny things. That's our take on it."
I wonder how many other “funny things” are going on that we don’t know about because no one is looking in the right direction at the right time.

i actually have seen ghosts on several occasions. i dont really want to go into detail about this but they all happen when i was 12 or younger. when i was 12 i saw a man outside our window with a gun pointing straight at his head. this man was sort of see threw and was a cloud grey. i grew frightened ducked for a second and went back up. he was still there and just floated backwards behind the car. literally FLOATED!! the window was pretty low and i could see he wasnt touching the ground.
another time was when i was in my room trying to fall asleep. i remeber being almost asleep then feeling something sitting right near my head. the thing then stroked my head and thats when i opened my eyes. i looked and nothing was there but i could definately sence something there sitting right next to me. i screamed out and my dad came up and when i screamed the being or w.e it was disappeared.
these are my most remebered encounters and i cant realyl remeber anything else or dont have a good explanation or understanding really.
i have also had and continue to have deja vue if that can count. i dont really see things important but like meeting someone for the first time and knowing their name and/or seeing him. i did once see a friend of mine getting in really bad trouble and later on that week he was mugged at our amusement park at night and almost died from a neck fracture or w.e it is.

I've seen things. I visited a cemetery with a friend of mine three times. On the second I started feeling uneasy, on the third i started seeing what I can only describe as like, slaughtered body bits by the side of the road leaving the cemetery.
On my way back home I was driving alone, and I took a route home that bypassed the road the cemetery was on. When I approached the turn to get to the road that the cemetery was on, I saw in front of my car an enormous flashing arrow for just a split second.
Ever since then I've noticed people and things out of the corner of my eye only to look at they not be there. The most eye-popping one was seeing someone standing behind a friend of mine in front of her house, and then leaning to the side to see who it was, and then there was no one there. I've seen eyes in dark windows.
It's fucking scary man.
As far as UFOs, I was at my grandma's out in the country one time years ago, and something flew over going much faster than any airplane possibly could, with a very odd pattern of lights. It made no noise at all, but it looked like it was very low, not more than a thousand feet above the ground.
Edit: Another really striking thing happened waaaay before the cemetery incident. I was actually reading totse (no shit)... some lame text file on the men in black. something smacked me in the back of the head, and i mean, something smacked me, in the back of the head, like, i could feel that fingers were there. But, I was the only one in my house awake, it couldn't have been my cats, it wasn't anything that fell or anything. That one really scared the shit out of me.

I never seen a ghost but my friend's house is haunted by some old hag. She got really sad when his grandma moved out.
Once I fucked with the supernatural and the next day something REALLY serious happened to me. Damn near died. Famous last quote from my friend was, "Wouldn't it be crazy if just to teach us a lesson, something really bad happened to us?"

I'd be interested in testimony of someone who believed to have spoken to El Diablo, just on the grounds of what the person thought Satan said.
Then again, I'd consider the person deeply confused.
Edit: As for my own personal experiences, I've seen enough dead people and animals- Funerals and rotting roadkill. I've never been enlightened or contacted by divine figures, either.

I remember reading something about a woman who was driving down a road late at night and she thought she was shot in the back of the head.
Her head bounced off the steering wheel with the impact and she had to pull over.
She reached behind her head and felt a sticky mess towards the base of her skull.
After that she started to see people and things brought on by the near-death/death-threat experience.
When she was taken to a hospital, she just had some slight bruising on the back of her head(and a lump from the wheel), but no blood or lacerations.
She was all over the news for a while.
Turns out she was coming back from some late-night shopping on a cold night and the heaters were on, so the shopping heated up and a tube of dough exploded and a lump caught her on the back of the head.
She only realised that's what had happened after she had been hallucinating for a week and gone on chat shows and stuff.
She found the lump of dough behind the back of her seat.
Fucking dumb.
I have seen plenty of UFOs. Mostly because I had no way to identify what they were.

I haven't seen ghosts (although I have family who swear to having ghost experiences).
If it's relevant to your curiosity I have achieved partial Astral Projection, seen a statue of rhadarani breathing (Only to be asked the next day by someone if I'd ever seen her breath), made astoundingly accurate predictions (spontaneously). Plus once whilst I was in trance in australia I heard the voice of what I presume to be a native making a weird chant sound. All without drugs.
Plus various states of consiousness that broke down the feelings of seperatenes between me and everything else.
I accept it could be all imagination. I'm just saying what I believe I experienced.
i regularly have intercourse with ghosts/satans/aliens.
I have never seen any ghosts/aliens/ufo's/boogie men.
One of my friends says he saw a ghost once. But then I also remember when we made him cry, 'cause we told him the devil was coming for him.

The one thing I've seen before but can't explain is...
...black cats.
Whenever I slept somewhere in my house other than my bed, I will always wake up late at night to see a black cat sitting in the glow of some light (stereo interface, street light from window, etc.)
I'd blink a few times, then all I'd see is a black misty stain on the floor. In the morning, it's all gone.
I've moved since then, and it hasn't happened anymore. Then again, I've been sleeping in my bed all this time.
EDIT:
Just to clarify, I don't nor have ever owned a black cat. At the time I lived on the side of a mountain surrounded by forest. I doubt it could've been a neighbourhood cat.

Devils and angels are fictional religious constructs.
I'm going to have to level with you. I used to be very gullible in my younger years, but became somewhat of a hard, pragmatic cynic later on as a result of learning about empiricism, the scientific method, "if it goes against a basic scientific understanding of reality, it's probably bullshit", etc.
There were, however, a couple of events that have happened to me that seem to defy reason.
The first one is when I captured this garden snake in Washington state from this place called Hawk Creek and took it home. I put it in an empty aquarium and set it on the kitchen table, locked the house up, then left with my friend via. bicycle to go get some goldfish at the pet store several miles away to feed it.
So we come back, unlock the front door, go into the kitchen, and the aquarium is full of water. There were no water sources, every door and window was locked with no signs of forced entry and nothing else out of the ordinary. It was as if water spontaneously generated in sufficient quantities to fill the tank. The snake was swimming around at the top.
That still preys on my mind to this day, as there is absolutely no rational explanation as to how the water got in the tank. I checked the cieling for any leaks (it was a dry, sunny day outside) and all the sinks & faucets were dry and hadn't been turned on.
The second one is when I saw a disembodied shadow that mirrored my own profile move on it's own accord. It appeared in the bedroom above the doorframe at an angle that was 90 degrees different than my location lying down on the bed. I stared at it of a few seconds and then it turned around and ran down the hallway. Scared the hell out of me.
Also keep in mind I am completely wide awake and of sound mind when this took place and that I've never done any drugs or gotten drunk, so I'm a prototype of lucidity.

I added in another event that happened in the house I lived in prior to the one where that happened.
The wierd thing about the water is that it wasn't like normal tap water. It had kind of a slight slimy film to it when I was dumping it out.
But yeah, everything I've stated there is 100% true. I shit you not.
All of that stuff came to an end after I moved to Texas 11 years ago.
And see, the thing is, I still remain a die-hard skeptic, even today. I have absolutely no logical explanation. Given the circumstances, there isn't even a remotely feasible theoretical rational explanation that makes sense of what happened. I just have to accept that I'll never really know for sure what happened.
I'm the type of guy that generally believes that there is a logical explanation for everything, even if you don't know what it is, but it's shit like that which really makes me wonder sometimes.
Remember that cartoon Scooby Doo where everyone is always running scared from ghosts and monsters and such and they always show at the end that it was bullshit and there was a rational explanation until they went to Monster Island and encountered real monsters? It's akin to that. You know that it makes no sense whatsoever and logically there has to be some kind of explanation, but it's just not coming forth and you can't deny what's happening.

The only _really_ strange thing that's happened to me, that I couldn't (and still can't) explain is when I was 12, almost 15 years ago, I was playing with some friends in the playground of the apartment complex I lived in at the time (yeah, so I lived in the projects, big deal) and we saw an extremely strange light in the sky; it was quite similar to what a satellite looks like (it was clearly far away, at the very least in low-earth-orbit) but it moved in ways that no known craft could. I remember it moving in Gs and 6s, Qs and 8s and just insane loops, all at a relatively high speed (faster than a jetliner). It zoomed far south (about 1/3 of the sky) VERY quickly, then blasted off to the right just as a LARGE plume of fire erupted under a roof overhang of one of the apartment buildings in the complex next to ours.
The next day, the other kids and I went to the other complex, to look at where the fire had suddenly erupted, and all we saw was a large (1.5yd-2yd wide) crater in the barkdust next to the building.
Later that week, I made the stupid mistake of telling my classmates about it in school; they teased me about that for quite a while.
So yeah, that's my story, no ghosts, Satan, or up-close-and-personal aliens; just some weird-ass light in the sky.

I've never ever seen anything supernatural, but I have felt it.
About two years ago, I was in bed, it was like 3am. My bed is next to the wall, and I was facing the wall. Then suddenly I felt a great weight pushing on my side, as if some one were leaning over me to see if my eyes were open. I thought it was my sister/mother checking up on me. I roll over and nothing is there.
More recently I was lying in bed. I heard a noise in my room, rolled over to lie on my back and I got PUNCHED in the fucking eye socket. How do I know it was a punch? Well, if you've ever been punched in the eye socket hard enough, all of a sudden your whole cheek/cheekbone goes numb and feels swollen instantly. I turned the light on and looked around and there was nothing in my house.
But seriously, what ever it was, it fucking PUNCHED me in the face, not even a slap, or a hit...

i have a theory about that shadow you saw, ive also heard many stories like it...
http://tinyurl.com/ky2ww
hopefully some of you have read the thread in humanities about the theory of 4d beings having 3d shadows. If you havn't, go read it. the basic idea is that we, 3d beings cast 2d shadows so perhaps it goes like that. i have studied that stuff(dimensions, string theory etc.) and it checks out.
what if these shadow people or whatever the fuck you saw was actually a 4 dimensional being, and because we are only 3d beings, we could only see the 3d things (its shadow).

i have only ever seen a UFO.
almost a year ago to the day, my family moved into a new house, and while things were getting moved i slept on the ground next to a large window in a sleeping bag.
it was about 10:30, and i noticed this absolutely massive UFO, in the far distance (maybe 500-700 metres away, i dont know) started dancing in the air. it came closer and got closer. eventually i realised it was about the size of an average house. it was grey and completely silent. it had a fair amount of yellow lights on the outisde. the UFO stayd around for about 10 seconds. i don't remeber how or when it left though.
the weirdest thing is that i always thought that if aliens/UFO's are real then why do they never wear space suits, or have hair, or not have saucer shaped craft. but this is saucer shaped, except it had a large things prutruding from the top, and it didn't spin. here's a rough picture... http://tinyurl.com/ycxkb8
to this day, it freaks me out and i can't explain it, especially its size. the only person i've told is my friend because we were into UFO's and shit when younger.

Why the fuck do they show this show on a fucken SCIENCE channel. FUCK!!!!!! its so fucken stupid, are they actually claiming this is accurate, and true?
Fuck of with this ghost bullshit!
Lets assume there is a god, there is heaven and hell, you have a soul and all that shit. How many souls would there be in heaven and hell. 1 000 000 000 000 or someshit. Only a handfull tricked the system and stayed behind. FUck off, billions would stay behind. The reasons on the show are never something extroidinary. The fucken ghost loves his room and doesnt wanna leave. Wants to say goodbye to his family.
and that's what really grinds my gears.

Did you watch The Matrix just before getting high? Now that I think about it, that would be kind of fun. Well, while I was high, not before.
I've met Satan. I've also had Satan talk to me.
First time I met Satan, Satan tried to kill me. The second time was when I was travelling through realms.
I'll say one thing:
I rather make a deal with God than the devil. Renigging on God is easier than the devil. Of course, God gets the final say when it's judgement day.
I once worked for God, but I fell.
These days I am to live in this realm. And I am destined to destroy this entire Universe. I will become the Omnigod.
I will be sent back to where I came from. I chose to be born in this century for a reason. It is the century of science. It is the day I may free myself and reach ultimate power. You humans have done well to bring science and everything to where it is now.
However, I shall destroy you all. I shall take everything you have created and use it for myself. Afterwards, I shall destroy all of you.

Satan is amyth, but I did encounter a discarnate entity who was insane and thought he wa Satan.
BTW, this sort of thing is probably more suited to PD.
Yeah, I had an imaginary friend too.

I see the demons that are within my own mind.
Whether the affect they have on my environment is real, or it's just mental illusion is a difficult choice to make - do i doubt my faith in the idea that we are all mere pawns in some insane god's plaything or do i doubt my mental integrity.
It's a difficult one to explain coherently, so i'll just say this;
People see different things.

Hes got a point. Ive got two that I CANNOT explain, though couldve been anything I was 14 the first time I saw/got weird feelings of my dead dog (of all things) being near me and keeping me warm when I felt to cold at night. She was a golden retriever and the last time I got this feeling was up the mountains when I got lost, night was falling and I was freakin (my gps ran out of juice and I left my backpack in the truck cause my hunting vest was already very heavy)
I was in rather steep terain with no food, and a arizona iced tea on a mountainside and shit was moving all over the place. right out side the vision of my little led (i had a strong surefire which ran ironicly on 3v lith which could only last a hour on batts cause its so strong and I did have my mossburg 535 so helpless was far from what I would call myself)
The problem was I live in bear teritory and I cant shoot what I cant see! If the fucker sneaks up on me Im dead. Im concentrating all my might on keeping balanced on the slippery rocks of this horrible mountain I decided to scout and didnt account the ammount of time to get back down (it rained alot)
I saw my fucking golden retriever. I mean it there she was goldie just trotting down the fucking mountain-huge bolder pile piece of shit like it was nothing. She walked like she was before her legs went from the tumors and was hopping shit.
I followed this for another 10 minutes and then whatever this long haired thing was it ran off. I noticed a stream that was sorta frozen I hopped over on my way up and followed it down, across the fields, and to the side of the road.
second Im not going to bother writing, it was probly a kid in a very convincing costume who was very good at gymnastics or some shit who had alot of time on his/her hands.
all I can say is that if theres a video from n america with a wierd costume prank and a guy with just a pair of jeans on and a hachet running out to where the fucking thing was a minute ago its probly me

I thought I saw a dead relative once... turns out it was just a rotten old lady who smoked too many cigarettes and looked like a corpse.
