If the Bible is true, then why would a perfect and all-knowing being change his methods so drastically regarding life on Earth? Being perfect, he couldn't have seen the error in his ways because there couldn't be any.

Why?

Because He wanted to.

EDIT: Or this. Perhaps God's change was necessary, like changing one's parenting habits once your child reaches a certain age. You can't shit in your pants forever; it's time to stop suckin' the teat. Or something. I believe human development could include the ideas of both God and evolution (though I'm an atheist, I can see how the two could co-exist). Maybe in the beginning stages of our species's (?) upbringing, God needed to act as he did, in order for us have it imprinted into our collective subconsciousnesses, or to provide a guideline that early man was to follow and pass on.

Then he changed because it was time to. We needed it.. for some reason. Eh.

That actually makes a lot of sense, a frighteningly logical explanation from MGCBtSOoYG. Btw, theism doesn't conflict with evolution, but the specific idea of creationism via Genesis does.

Perhaps his "methods" are appropriate for whichever level of humanity's evolution it applies to.

if you had a pet goldfish fry, youd want it to grow and change too .
