you know what makes people conservative? wars where we are atually threatened (ie. WW2, war of independence) and economic depressions.

True family values is what you do in your family, like teach your kids to be a good person and help other people, accepting your children for who they are and helping your family through any hard times while supporting them completely. Gay marriage has nothing to do with family values. Disowning gays is the exact opposite of family values. When *YOU* say family values, *YOU* mean intolerant fascism and individuality repressment.
