View Full Version : My thoughts on God & religion
animals, with no real thinking or full concious
then ~GOD~
= human animals, a thinking, advanced, self-aware concious
God = evolution, choas theory, basically all unknown factors
god can exist outside of time and space because it is neither, it is another demention on its own, it basically for lack of a better example was the big bang
thinking in god as an object gives us security, reason, morals, controlability (by the ones who take power), as well as sense of philisophical achievement (like as if we can understand the will of a fucking uncontrolable force)
Anyway I shall add more as I think, and I just need to add this because it makes 100% sense in our society when discussing religion (especially middle-eastern shitz):
"We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them." - Albert Einstein ... as in people are now more aware, the people at the bottom have (or can have) the same education/ awareness as the 'peeps at the top

Oh and I think Islam needs to take control of its self, kind of like Christianity, Judaism, ect - they were once harsh violent religions, but changed with society and time
Islam and the whole middle east is just stuck in some kind of time-vortex and won't grow up

That is incorrect thrazor.
Islam has been from the very biginning a religion of conquest, slavery, rape, genocide, pedophelia, theivery, and murder.
Christianity was (atleast in the first 300 years) a religion of humility, self-sacrifice, love, friendship, and forgivness. When the catholic church took controll is when things went downhill. Anything good can be used for evil purposes. However the atrocities commited by "christians" during the middleages pales in comparison to the wanton conquest, bloodshed, injustice, and genocide committed by early and later muslims.
BTW agnostic here with substantial knowledge of the two most prevalent religions.

Your 100% dead on, but I was just saying the religions (or the way they are now practiced) have since changed over time and at their current state are for the most part followed peacefully with the notable exception of Islam.
What I'm meaning in saying this is that they Muslims everywhere need to change their religion as a whole as no one from the outside can.
Oh, and I'm not dissing on Christianity there, I too share an agnostic viewpoint on religion. (I'm just a uneducated 15 year old, that's all)

Well your right about islam needing a complete overhaul. But this will never happen because, think about it, to do this requires deleting tons of things their religious founder said. This would be in effect shirk (the islamic equivalent of blasphemy). Nobody would be willing to do this because it would "send them to hell."
The only thing western civilization can to to protect itself from this totalitarian dogma is to ban some (ahh most) sects of islam from her shores and never allow them to migrate here. Islam is a cancer to mankind that has slowly eaten its way through civilization like a plague of locusts through a once fertile field.

Makes sense, the only problem is this method of keeping them away (or banning parts of the religion, which would require proving it has some kind of direct association with violence, which is hard here in the US with free speech & religion and all) is not working...
So I guess I propose we need to find a new way to kill the locust (as in ideas - not necessarily people)... or else risk losing our freedoms.

Well we repealed the KKK's religious status. Just one or two more terrorist attacks and americans should get the message.
I'm not even going to reply to that since I agree... even though my gut doesn't.
It just bugs me that if we do increase security, ect, we become less free and it just feels like giving in.
Oh well, this is where I go to bed and only leave this stupid, but very true quote.

You are stepping into the political aspects of governmental control. Let's keep it religous
