This always confused me. I'm not coming out with a stereotype about jewish people, I went to a jewish daycare for about oh...7-8 years of my life. I have a fairly good understanding of how it works. I'm not jewish, I still know the hebrew prayers and such. Anyway, how come ANY jewish person is super jewish?

You only get this breed with a few select christians.

Whats a super jew? My ex-girlfriend was Jewish, and she barely followed her religion. Her parents just hated the fact I was agnostic though.

Btw, that's not what broke us up http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif)

It's because you seek to find the explanation in their religion. If you a jew isn't letting you borrow his money, he is a jew. If a christian won't let you borrow his money it's because he's an asshole.

By Jewish do you mean by race or religion?

^^ jews are a religion. only recently have they been seen as a race so people will hate them easier. (you can thank hitler)

anyway, jews a -super- jewish because judaism is very conservative, and many of them are proud to be jewish.

think about it. if you were a group of people that have been pushed around by everyone for 3000 years, you generally wanna stick together.

it is same with catholics and shiite muslims. they are -super- catholic or -super- shiite.

oh yea i forgot. theres this jewish celebrity in australia thats really funny, he used to have this show about religion.

pretty goddamn funny. read the spoiler

Hm, neat show http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif) Yes I meant religion. It seems to me that them, a long with Islamics and catholics (some) seem to be the only ones to follow there religion so much that it can control there life. I don't really think religion should do that, I think that it should act as a balancing medium, something we can turn to if we are having problems.

This is a rather crude stereotyping--by "super," I assume you mean "observant." For instance, some Jews keep two sets of dishes, and try to follow all 650 or so commandments.

Lumping all Jews--Orthodox, Reform, Conservative, the Kabballa crowd, and so forth--together is like lumping together a redneck, speaking in tongues snake-handler with the Pope--after all, they ARE both Christians.

Really?

Because the Jews describe themselves as a race. Not to mention that the Old Testament (Tanakh in Judaism) explicitly states how Jews are a seperate, unique, god-loved race.

Never heard of a secular jew? Jesus Christ.
