To start, I'm not a Christian. I used to be, but now I consider myself Atheist. That doesn't really matter for this post, let's consider this as if Christianity is 100% true.

What if Jesus has already come back, and we simply killed him? I used to read in the newspapers about a nut claiming to be Jesus, and we simply locked him up, and in some countries, they execute him. What if that already happened?

I'm sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but I thought of it a long while ago, and it's bugged me quite a bit.

I'd laugh. What a shitty god, What kind of god and all powerfull being who can create the universe and lay out the mindboggling laws of energy and matter. Yet cant come from "heaven" as a more powerfull being then a shitty human that can be killed at any second

Theoretically, if he did come back, there would no reason for him to return as a mortal, since Jesus/God can defy the laws of physics anyway (Water into wine, Immaculate Conception, and other nonsense), he would still be immortal upon return

Also know that before constantine, Christianity was really going down a hole.

Assuming christianity is 100% true, there would be some sort of divine sign.

If i were god, i would probably tell it to the pope or something, not some wacko on the street.

If we assume that Christianity is 100% correct, then we can't be bothered to wonder if we have already killed him or not. Jesus is God, and whatever was predicted in the Bible will happen no matter what. Basically, it would be impossible for him to die like that, according to Christianity.

"Every eye shall see him", plus he descends to the same spot he left from and there have been a bunch of signs preceding etc, or it could be as some believe: he came and went a long time ago and he's done, finished, gone back to heaven with the saints; and earth is slowly burning out as karma catchs up, or; it could all be metaphorical, and the message is about the level of consciousness christ was at and how other humans have and would also reach that level, looking forward to the time when a critical point is reached and the majority of humanity will enjoy christ consciousness.
