If the article is too long, then here is a summary:
Bill Keller wrote his own version of Harry Potter where the young wizard gives up his life of magic for Christ. At the very end of the page, Keller asks readers to pray for the author of the Harry Potter books.
Is he fucking serious?! Nothing in the books has ever suggested nature worship, praying to gods, or any other type of paganism or religion. They do celebrate Christmas, if that counts, but it doesn't say if any of the characters are christians.
It's just a simple fantasy series with a group of individuals who can throw spells at each other with wands who face many adventures while discovering many values and good stuff.
No different than the Chronicles of Narnia, The Lord of the Rings, The Wizard of Oz, or any other fantasy novel/film/game involving wizards, magical creatures and friendships.
How is the Harry Potter series against Christian faith? If it is indeed against the faith, would other fantasy novels also be sinful?
If anything in this post is incorrect, then please enlighten me. This is just driving me nuts.
