This is a good justification for the State of Israel, you want Jews under this kinds of Governments forever?

JERUSALEM – Many of Yemen's Jews this weekend fled their homes for a hotel after receiving death threats from Islamic militants accusing the country's tiny Jewish community of serving as agents for "global Zionism."
The Jews said they feared for their lives. It was disclosed they had been forced to pay special taxes that Islam imposes on Jews and Christians in return for protection and security.
(that would be Jizyah taxes)
About 45 Jews left their village in Sa'ada county in Yemen after Dawoud Yousuf Mousa, one of the heads of the local Jewish community, was warned Jan. 10 if the Jews don't leave within 10 days they would be exposed to killings, abductions and looting.

ha ha. One-sided bigotry? I suppose in 1000 years from now people condemning the "religion" of nazism will be called one-sided by people like you. Islam and nazism have about 20-odd glaring similarities in fact.

So now you are calling me a nazi, even though by best friend is Jewish, (and happens to be found of Sufi Islam)? All you do is base your ideas on your warped interpretation of the Qur'an, and baseless speculation from fellow bigots.

http://www.totse.com/bbs/rolleyes.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/rolleyes.gif) I did not call you a nazi. Nor did I call you a muslim.
I said that perhaps in 1000 years the public's perception of nazism will alter the way it did of islam.
And dont say the christians were bigots and didn't know what islam is about because they did. Infact the crusaders were required to read the quran to better know their enemy. Knowledge of how martyrdome inspires such relentless fight in the face of defeat prompted the pope to declare that christians killed fighting the muslim hordes would go to heaven.

I am fond of sufi too. It is the only true reformation of islam that I know of, a combination of the nice verses and budhaism. (or is it hinduism??) However it is unpopular for very obvious reasons. (obvious to muslims, not us)

Good point. All I was saying is that mixing extremism with religion always leads to trouble. But moderate religious beliefs can be glorious. It may be possible that Anwar Sadat privately believed in peace because of religious convictions.

Well thankyou and I agree.
But we all know my position is that some systems encourage extremism more than others.

Yup. It could be, Im not sure who mr. Sadat is but even muslims can be peaceful if they ignore the hadith and focus on the nice verses. If the historical documantation involving the quran could be totally ignored than reforming islam would be much easier, just say the mean verses were revaeled before the peaceful ones.

Israel's Hebron settlers criticised:
Lapid says Israelis "wave a reprimanding finger at most" against the harassment of Palestinians [AP]
The head of Israel's central Holocaust memorial has criticised Jewish settlers who harass Palestinians in the West Bank city of Hebron.
Yosef Lapid, the chairman of Yad Vashem, Israel's largest Holocaust memorial said on Saturday that the abuse recalled the anti-Semitism present in Europe prior to the second world war.
Lapid's unusually fierce and public attack was prompted by Israeli television footage showing a Hebron settler woman hissing "whore" at her Palestinian neighbour and settler children lobbing rocks at Arab homes.
The spectacle stirred outrage in the Jewish state, where many view the settlers as a movement opposed to co-existence between Jews and Arabs, and hostile to the creation of a future Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
Lapid, a Holocaust survivor who lost his father to the Nazi genocide, said in a weekly commentary on Israel Radio that the acts of some Hebron settlers reminded him of persecution endured by Jews in his native Yugoslavia on the eve of the second world war.
Bitter persecution
"It was not crematoria or pogroms that made our life in the diaspora bitter before they began to kill us, but persecution, harassment, stone-throwing, damage to livelihood, intimidation, spitting and scorn," he said.
"The only real solution is for everyone to live on the land as equals. In the end, everyone there will have to live together or they will all die together."
"I was afraid to go to school, because of the little anti-Semites who used to lay in ambush on the way and beat us up. How is that different from a Palestinian child in Hebron?"
Hebron has been a frequent flashpoint in more than six years of Israeli-Palestinian fighting since the second intifada began in 2000.
Some 400 settlers live there, under heavy Israeli military guard, amid 150,000 Palestinians."

Surprise Surprise. I guess the israelis are having a social backlash from all the buss, cafe, pizzaria bombings. And the hatespeach, rock throwing and back stabbing, teaching their kids to want to be suicide bombers, trying to use ambulance as a bomb delivering vehicle, using land given to them for rocket attacks, etc. etc.
And maybe Israel is also tired of palestinians trying to demonize them with their cute little movies based on falsehood of jews killing palestinians. I have quite a few if you'd like to see.

I know what an intifada is I also know the first was started by a member of the Jewish faith who massacred worshiping muslims. Not taking sides.

Read. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intifada
1,084 Israelis and 4,398 Palestinians have been killed since September 29, 2000. Now, I will never agree with the slaughter of innocent civilians, but Israel has a nasty habit of firing artillery into one of the most heavy populated places on Earth, and randomly firing at Palestinians. But I do agree that the militancy in schools is just appalling. And, a comment about anti-Semitism in Palestine: hate-based propaganda is nothing new when people look for scapegoats. For instance, the first movie ever seen in the White House was "Birth of a Nation", made by the KKK.
