thundercock has just made a ridiculous theory about believers and non believers. it is absolutely crazy but scientifically we can't prove him wrong. this is a perfect example of religion to me. maybe thundercock will go on to make one of his own.
to demonstrate this i will now make a short, general theory of life and religion. here goes...
scientists are quite sure now days that there are more dimensions that 3 (in space that is. time isn't a real dimension). what if god or, 'jehovah' as christians say is just a 15 year old punk from the umpteenth dimension that created a universe for a science project. this punks name is jehovah. he expects people to worship him because he made us so therefore communicated with ancient people to tell hem about himself and make him look good. he convinced one dude named jesus that he was his son. the 15 year old punk also created a doctrine named the bible to try and solidify his point.
now, all of you can say 1000 things that make this story stupid, but none of you can prove anything. excuse me while i make a religion and call is Pseudonysm.
i invite people now, to challenge Pseudonysm.

Thats not a perfect example of religion. Religious beliefs are formed on some sort of logic that would have been applicable at the time of that religion's creation.
An example I once heard supporting this referenced the fact that a banana is not completely round. It has a certain number of flat facets, that coincidentally fit into the bends made by human hands. Obviously, we know now that those two things have no correlation, but from the perspective of early man, it wouldn't have been too far out for them to have thought so. Another example is the ancient belief that inside all humans burned a fire. Now, that thought is ridiculous, but following the idea that: fire is hot, and the human body is kept warm by unknown means, it makes marginal sense to people who don't know better.
There are a million other natural coincidences that early people could have easily attributed to some sort of intelligent design. And quite reasonably (for the time), since man was the highest order on earth, and they did not create such fascinating coincidences, something higher must have.
The thing you need to keep in mind is that religions arent founded because one guy says "this is what happened, so thats how it goes". Religious theories of creation, and all early theories of creation for that matter, are based on some sort of worked out thought bytheir founders. The fact that they have long since been proven wrong doesn't mean they were just pulling their ideas out of their ass, which is what you would be doing with your mock-theory.

It's called the burden of proof, we don't need to prove him, or you, wrong. He (and you) need(s) to prove his(your) theory to be correct.
With one deft swipe both theories are now to be considered wrong until they can be proven beyond reasonable doubt to be right.
This is why Atheists, who do not assert anything, do not use faith in their beliefs. Whereas theists who do assert something without proof are using faith in their belief system.
It is quite simple.

I think the problem might be that you and I are the only ones here who seem to have ever taken a course in Philosophy.
My favorite philosopher was the guy who said "Nothing exists, and if it exists it cannot be described, and if it can be described it cannot be communicated".
As far as Pseudonysm goes, I think it's too close to the South Park episode where Cartman is God to the sea monkeys. You are a plagarist!
