Out of curiosity Im wondering how many athiests believe in enlightenment and what you think it is.

Personally I think aspects of enligtenment can be experienced temporarily with drugs.

With weed you can experience depth of thought and imagination. Focus.

With extacy you can feel total love and empathy.

With shrooms you feel a connection to all of life around you.

I think enlightenment would be experiencing all of these thing without the negative aspects of drugs.

Many look at the realising that religion is false as enlightenment.

Enlightenment is part of the human experience. Athiest or not. Each person experiences it to some degree or another. Athiests might refer to it in a more so realization about their life sort of way though.

So, enlightenment is a 'process' rather than a 'state'? A way to live? A path? A goal?
