I heard about how millions of Hindus were swimming in the Ganges river to wash away their sins, but several have refuse to partake in the ritual since the river is extremely polluted. That got me thinking, what religions promote the protection of the Planet? I've already heard about eco-Christian groups, and an Islamic environmental website, are their any others?

I'm not sure new age er.. people would class themselves as being a part of a religeon. With new age beliefs there's no dogma, no stories of old, nothing you have to do to get to what people would call heaven. Just beliefs as to what is.

Anyhoo, in answer to the original question, I'm sure native american beliefs have a big emphasis on nature, but again I don't think they have any kind of religeon, just a way of life.

^^native americans have there way of life and spirituality. Not all, but the ones who like to stay in the old ways they do.

Jews, christians, and muslims in general tend to not give a shit. After all the goal is the afterlife, not this shity fucken playground we call earth. OF course there are exceptions though.

I draw the line between swimming in a pool of hydrocholric acid to "wash" away something you could balance out with opposism.

To strike up another thought, I feel this is almsot the basment, This is where we crawled out of folks. The bad ones stay down here till they get the picture.

Edit: Think of it as the war for the picture frame. The best darn painting wins!

The Shinto religion has great respect for nature.
