You know those things (if your teachers did them,) put your class in a circle and told a story. But it started at one end and you had to say the same thing to the person next you going around the circle. You said it in the persons ear so no one would hear. Once it go to the end from going through 35 or so brains the story was all fucked up. Like, for example:

The monkeys were purple

After going around the circle

Asses and grass are yellow

I think religions have been going to long and everythings all screwed up. but, that's what m thinking, for now.

You're talking about the game telephone. And yes, most religions, including Judaism, were originally handed down orally, so I wouldn't be surprised if there were embellishments here and there.

Most people also like to point out that the religions all are basically saying the same thing, as if that is proof of some mystical undercurrent to life. I think that what is more likely is that the reason they are all similar is because they have all stolen from one another, as historical evidence would testify.

Just throwing that out there...

Yeah.

If you look around, the Golden Rule is found in just about every major religion.

Hinduism has a concept of the trinity and then all of sudden so does Christianity.

The myth of Prometheus is extremely similar to parts of the creation account in Genesis.

Christianity and Islam both have attributes which pagans used to practice.

Jesus is very similar to many other previous mythological figures.

"It has served us well, this myth of Christ." -Pope Leo X

One time in high school my communications teacher, who was uber Christian, was talking about this book and how if you tell someone a story over and over and over, and keep trying to convince them something, and keep drilling it into their heads over time, the story will always keep changing and they will eventually probably believe anything.

Then my friend shouted out, "Kinda like the bible then, huh?" as innocently as possible.

The teacher just turned beet red and was like, "Uhh, yeah".

Haha, it was fucking classic.
