Here's the best proof of god:

1.) Abstract concepts exist

2.) Beliefs are abstract concepts

3.) People believe in God

4.) Therefor, God exists

I found a site : www.proofthatgodexists.org (http://www.proofthatgodexists.org) that infuriated me.

Also, I have this argument AGAINST god.

1.) All things either have a beginning or do not have a beginning.

2.) If you believe things do not have a beginning, then it is possible for the entire universe & all matter to have no beginning.

3.) If something has no beginning, it was not created.

4.) Since god created everything, things that exist without being created disprove his existance.

5.) If you believe all things have a beginning, then God most have a beginning, since he is omniscient.

6.) God cannot have a beginning.

7.) Therefore god does not exist.

I think there's a problem with it though...

That's the worst argument ever. Replace God with "pink unicorn" and you will see how absurd it is. Also, it didn't state whether abstract concepts exist in the world, so to speak, or merely in the mind.

Besides, you can use logic to prove anything, as Kant proved with "antinomies". Hence why they are generally useless unless applied to empirical phenomena (don't quote me on this though, because I admit I could be wrong).

Pink unicorns do exist, if thoughts exist.

The only way that proof could be said to prove god as applying to the entire universe is if you accept an existential model where the only known universe is the one in your head.

Otherwise, all it's really proving is the concept of god exists.

That's my point entirely. The argument is Sophistry.

The argument is true. And if you happen to be an existentialist and a Christian (rare combination?) it proves God.

There are no 'proofs' for the existence of a god. There are no 'proofs' against the existence of a god.

A logically valid argument does not equate to a logically sound argument.

That site is stupid. It is a perfect example of the closed-mindedness of a good percentage of christians.

I mean come on, "absolute truth does not exist" leads to "Absolutely True" and "false". That line of thought is contradictory.
