In the bible it states "murderers will not enter heaven". I am not sure if this means confessing to a priest will not allow God to to forgive a murderer, but if it does, I am destined for the lake of fire. It is sad, I might as well worship satan because no matter what I do, I will be damned anyway.

dont worry, you can confess you sins and get into heaven. Christianity is good that way, no consequences for your actions. Not shur about islam though.

Blasphemy against the holy spirit...if you take a good look at both the OT and NT, is referring to taking of one's own life: the denial of God's personal gift to you.

i have read once in the bible that if you murder someone it will be held against you when you are judged.

but call someone a fool and you will be definately be cast into hell.

so it appears according to the word of god that the punishment of calling one a fool is more severe than the punishment of murder.

by murdering someone you are taking away gods gift, not to yourself but that person. One cannot simply decline a gift but someone else can take it from you and destroy it?

Well the thing with suicide is that you can't ask for forgiveness after you do it, because your dead. If you kill someone you still have time to ask for forgiveness.

I think hell is rather silly concept. God wants you to act on free will, right? Well when you threaten someone with a punishment its not exactly free will.

fucking the theory of god and his ideology was not free will, but disciplined, and focused will. we weren't supposed to be gluttonous pigs, and i could get inot the whole adam and eve shits but it's not worth the effort or the time.

I'm an aethist, but I believe the single most significant passage in the bible reads as follows "And you will say to me 'But we called lord lord and cast out demons and prophesized in your name.' And I will say "I knew you not" and cast you from my fathers kingdom"

As an aethist, I think christianity is a wonderful thing. To me, this excerpt suggests that it doesnt matter what the fuck you confess, or whether or not you've accepted jesus into your soul, your merit in life is judged by how you live your life. Not whether or not you jump through the bullshit technical loopholes.
