In the modern world it is rather hard for most christians to relate what the bible says to their lives (though it's not impossible). Hence they cling on to the little things that are mentioned in the scriptures that already align with how they feel and hold fast to them.

true lyrics
Not saying that it's good,
Not saying that it's right,
But the Virgin Mary may have been
A hermaphorodite.
Motherfuckin' go!
Motherfuckin' go!
Motherfuckin' go!
God is good, God is great,
I think that he might be gay.
Not saying God is gay,
Not saying that at all.
But if Jesus Christ was God and God created all.
Then Jesus Christ created the homosexual.
There might be a little fag in us all.
Jesus Christ

Homosexual
They say that God hates Fags,
They walk around so pissed.
Disguise their hate as love,
But have they thought of this.
He made us in his image,
Now listen to what I say.
Then it's a possibility that Jesus Christ was gay.
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ

Not saying God is gay,
Not saying that at all.
But if Jesus Christ was God and God created all.
Then Jesus Christ created the homosexual.
There might be a little fag in us all.
He made us in his image,
Now listen to what I say.
Then it's a possibility that Jesus Christ was gay.
Not saying that it's good,
Not saying that it's right,
But could the Virgin Mary have been a hermaphorodite?
She was with a child without having a man?
And that's not the only thing that I don't understand.
Jesus Christ

Those are perhaps the worst lyrics that I have ever read.

Religion is an evolved system with aims to make the human race prosper. Homosexuality goes against increasing population, as does protected sex.

We're overpopulated, so religion is now causing more trouble than good in that aspect.

The only real explanation I can think of is as a form of disease reduction, not sure what the rates for trasmitted diseases are amongst homsexuals compared to heterosexuals, but it would probaly explain the anti-male-gay sentiments rather than anti-lesbian... I mean... Nothing has to go in you ass when you're a lesbian ... I hope http://www.totse.com/bbs/frown.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/frown.gif)

You aint seen nothing yet.

There are several resources consumed (other than food)by the general population.
Exactly which planets do you propose that we should colonize? The only planet (other than the Earth) in our solar system where we could possibly post a colony would be Mars, and that colony would be dependent on the Earth to provide the resources needed for survival. Hardly a feasible solution for overpopulation.

I don't know about Christianity as a whole, but the Roman Catholic Church accepts homosexuals because they believe one is born that way and that it's not a choice (whether it really is is beyond me). The only thing they're against is homosexual acts.

King James was a fag. I love how alot christians own a bible written by a fag, and are against gays.

I don't think increasing the population correlates with making the human race prosper. If anything, they're negatively correlated (just look at the relationship between natural increase/decrease and standard of living).

I love how you dont do much research.
quote:Intent on strengthening the Church of England and reaffirming the Buggery Act 1533, James adopted a severe stance towards sodomy. His book on kingship, Basilikon Doron 1598, lists sodomy among those “horrible crimes which ye are bound in conscience never to forgive.”
From the wiki.

Actually, Argon, there is a fair amount of evidence to support the assertion that King James was, in fact, gay.

Surely Wiki does not constitute good research!
Alot has been written on King J's sexuality. This book (http://www.amazon.com/King-James-Letters-Homoerotic-Desire/dp/0877456690) is just one of them.

This is long but, somewhat worth it. This video explains why you christians shouldn't quote the book of Leviticus.

You've bought into the lies the media is perpetuating about "homosexuality".
No one is "gay", but anyone can commit a homosexual act, and it is a sin. Just like anyone can commit fornication (sex outside of marriage) or adultery, and those are sins to.
Homosexual activity is no worse of a sin than any of the others, but the difference is that the media is trying to convince people that it's "natural" and that people are "born gay".

No one is heterosexual either. Believe it or not, but it was only around the 17th century that people began to be labeled instead of the sex acts they committed. In Ancient Greece, everything was permitted - however, some sex acts were only permitted for the aristocrats not because they were morally superior, but because they were wealthier.
There is nothing inherently evil with homosexuality. The Jews simply were pissed off at the aristocrats, imo, and you're carrying on their bigotry.

There is nothing immoral about honest consentual sex. In fact, it's as innocent as it gets.
People do hedonistic things under the guise of religion just as much as anything else, but they get no complaints. "Faith" is really just willful ignorance in this day and age.

What does this even mean? I know several gay men that are undoubtedly GAY with a capital G. I work with a gay guy who gets all excited and flush in the face when a certain young good looking male medical resident visits our department. Last week, two super hot female students were having lunch with us in the break room. Not one of us guys could keep ourselves from drooling- but this guy had no problem. Spend a little time around my workmate James and then tell me that no one is gay.

I personally believe homosexuality and heterosexuality are social creations we've been forced into. I prefer the androgyny of the Greeks.

I grew up in a pretty tough working class town. None of the young male kids I was brought up with was taught by society to be gay, yet a couple of them grew up to be attracted to males and life wasn't easy for them. If you grew up with them as I did, I'm sure you'd be convinced being gay wasn't their choice any more than me not being able to turn my head to stare at a pretty woman comes anything more or less than natural to me.

I believe Sweden did a VERY large test when it came to homosexuals and brain functions.
In a room of openly gay citizens, and in another room of alleged straight citiznes (married wives etc...), the homosexuals brains responded differently to pheremone treatment, or the act of releasing male of female pheremones.
Nobody in their right mind would just say, "ya know what? i'll give up boobies and have to live a life where everyone hates me and be rejected by people who don't even know me".
for some reason that doesn't sound correct. People are born with an attraction to females and some people are born with an inbred attraction to others, happens to many species (koala bears, certain monkeys, tortoises etc...) so you can't really call it unnatural.

Jesus says nothing about gays or gay sex but, he says a hell of a lot about heterosexual sex.
