View Full Version : What is Heaven like?
Simple enough question, "What is heaven like?
Or Nirvannah, Valhalla, Asgard or whatever you personally call it.
Lots of people want to go there, but why?
What's going to be special about heaven that can't be had here?
What parts of heaven do we/you have here, in this Earthly form?
Will there be anything "bad" in heaven?
Describe a "normal" day there and why it can't, or possibly can, happen here and now.
How can we explain something we have no idea about?
Is not Heaven good by definition?

Everyone wants to go there because it means they get to "live" forever in the afterlife.
It's also just a carrot waved in front of laymen to get them to sacrifice their life to a "faith" (or a basis of belife with no evidence) and then in the end.... they wasted half of it.

Neither Heaven nor Hell is an actual location, but rather a state of consciousness, which we may all create for ourselves.
For instance, when one achieves cosmic or unity consciousness/exists in a state of grace/ achieves hozho (as the Dine put it)--moving serenely and effortlessly through life in such a way as to inspire the entire universe to conspire to bring us all tht we desire, we may well be said to be in Heaven.
When we lapse into fear or any of the masks that fear wears--such as anger or envy or guilt--then we consign ourselves to Hell.

I think clues can be found in various drugs.
Weed gives you increased focus and imagination.
Mushrooms give you a sense of unity and empathy with your surroundings.
Ecstacy gives you strong feelings of love.
etc
Although drugs are risky, as the geez from human traffic says "We risk sanity for moments of temporary enlightenment".

I'm athies so I don't believe in an afterlife. I guess if I had to guess I would say its a blissful paradise without capitalism and religion.
