I didn't say that the earlier where the only things to life. I just gave some examples of how people limit themselfs for something that could or could not be true. I would say religion is a lot like alcohol or weed. It's good in moderation and can be lot of fun and happy times, but most people take it too far and fuck things up. Like blowing the crusade, the witch trials, the holocaust, 9/11. These people believed in ideals, such as a religion lets say and acted on it. I am not saying that people wont slaughter each other either way, but we can start by eliminating one of the major causes.
